Use Steps
The first step
Clean the floor where the chair mat will be placed as much as possible
The next step
Tear off the PE film on the back of the chair mat(There is an easy to tear "OPEN" label on the back)
The third step
Slowly fit the chair mat on the ground, slowly press from one side of the chair mat to expel the air in between, so that the chair cushion can be firmly attached to the ground and tightly fit. (It's similar to the principle of sticking a protective film on a mobile phone)
In order to save space and protect the environment, the chair mat is folded for delivery. When it is used for the first time, there may be slight creases. Ironing with an iron will make the mat remove creases faster. Or you just need to follow the above steps to stick it on the hard floor, it will recover flat completely.

This is my Second one and they work well. The first wore out but that is to be expected as I work from home 9 to 10 hours a day so it gets rolled over all day long 5 to 7 days a week. Last longer that others I have tried. The non slip backing is also great. Never had to adjust it after placing. Highly Recommend.

For years I was using one of those suction cup plastic hardwood protector floor mats for my home desk, but I could not stand the rolling my chair would do as the mat provided no traction for the wheels of my chair. On top of that the plastic would crack over time, it would deform, and overall I just hated how poorly it stuck to the floor.No more! After switch to this carpeted mat I can say for certain that if you have a hardwood floor, and a desk with a chair that isn't going to be moving from its location, then you need to buy this!The carpet is easy to clean with a vacuum, it provides great traction for the wheels of the chair, and the adhesion of the mat is by far the best of any I have tried to date. (not that a couple years later the corners and edges of the mat haven't started to come unstuck, but that's what dust and weekly vacuuming will do)

I used on a plush carpet for my rolling desk chair. Worked waaay better than expected. Stays flat, looks great, was easy to unroll. Cleans easily. Ended up transitioning to using it as a giant puppy proof carpet over my regular carpet! Waterproof! It does slidw in carpet in case you plan on using over carpet.

It’s very thin and light! May hold up, will have to see over time. I also don’t understand why they wouldn’t pack It rolled instead of folded as the fold lines don’t come out even with the sticky underside. It does stay in place so that’s a good thing. As you can see from the picture, it does leave chair roller marks.

The backing on this mat is perfect for tile floors. I tried a heavier plastic mat and it would not stay in place and would wrinkle up. This stays put perfectly. Just ordered a new one because I finally wore through a few spots after 2 years of daily use with a heavy rolling office chair. I think that’s a fair lifetime given the price and functionality!

Big hole in the middle after a month and a half of usage. The black ones are still holding wrong. Made of better materials. Avoid.
