It works as advertised. My wife doesn't know that I have it so it makes me look like I'm strong. She gives me a jar w a tight lid, I sneak it out of the drawer and open it

Doesn't clamp on cover. The handle feels like is done backwards. The metal teeth are small so it cannot be tightened to an lid. Better if it is made of rubber. Good concept but not good design. Returned item.

I've had three jars with overly tight lids since I received this a few weeks ago. The first was a jar with smooth sides on the lid. All this did was scratch the sides without opening it. The next jar had a Mason Jar type lid with gripping ridges along the edge and this bit in and worked as advertised. The third jar was a pickle jar with a lid larger than this will accomodate. Three jars: Two were "no go" and the third worked. It's up to you, but a device that only works 1/3 of the time doesn't stay here. I could have given it one or two stars but it is a clever design.

First read the cryptic directions on the box. Next lower any lofty expectations you may have. The opener works only marginally better than a towel and a pair of Vice Grips.I cannot recommend this product.

You don't have to be a senior with weak grip to take advantage of this tool. It makes opening any jar an easy task.It is very useful if you have sauces that may cause the lid to be a little slippery due to the oil content. This tool grabs the lid and lets you open the lid with ease.
