Having a pressing pad right next to the sewing machine is so handy as you are sewing and quilting. No more jumping up to go to the ironing board. It is thick, so the heat and steam from the iron will not damage the sewing surface.

I love this mat and have just today purchased my second one with plans to buy two more. I have a beautiful sewing table and I have been concerned about damage to it by moisture and heat because of locating my mat(s) on my table. So far, after 6 months of nearly daily use, there’s been no hint of damage likely because of the high quality of the mat. The literature that accompanied the mat advises one to place it on a heatproof surface! I’ve been looking for the right thing (no one offered advice but when I queried Amazon the answer readily appeared and so I purchased some Teflon sheets from Amazon (16x20 each). Very affordable, reusable, can be trimmed, and washable. In addition to giving me confidence about protecting my table from heat and moisture they address my issue with starch hitting my table!!

These are so much easier to manipulate than a heavy ironing board. They also make pressing so much easier.

It is thick enough to use quilters pins. It handles steam like a champ. I love the versatility of the blocks. I started with one then bought another then bought two more. I have them in a row on my sewing table (repurposed drafting table). There was some debris pressed into the mat, but that just shows that they need to comb the wool a bit better before use. I picked it out and I can’t which ones had the problem. I was able to sew some size markers with embroidery thread into the mat so i can watch my sizing of blocks while pressing. I tend to iron instead and pull the blocks out of whack. Great value! Love them!

Love this pad. Excellent quality. Perfect size to use on piecing blocks. Wish I could attach five more and have a full ironing board but they are also expensive!

Formidable! Je ne connaissais pas ce produit mais maintenant je ne m’en passerais plus. Il y en a de différentes tailles pour répondre à des besoins divers. Mieux que la planche à repasser!
