Over my many years, I've often needed calipers. But, I've needed them for the job at hand and always found a workaround so that I didn't have to run out to the store or wait for them to be delivered.However, I recently needed to know the size of a large hex nut (on my RV's wheel covers) and my workarounds twice caused me to order the wrong size. Amazon's liberal return policy meant that I could send them back without a penalty (other than having to take them to the UPS store). Before I guessed again, I ordered these calipers, and then measured the nuts before I ordered the right size socket from Amazon.The quality and size of the calipers was more than I expected. They are well worth the money.

Nothing fancy here. Just a solid set of spring calipers that work as intended. Ends come fairly sharp which is typically a good thing for machining purposes but as I am using them on wood lathe projects I had to round them off.

These calipers come with a light packing grease, which is good...a little dish soap will remove the grease (dry them well or they could rust, I used a hair dryer). The Outside and Inside Calipers both open to 9-1/8" (238mm). The divider caliper opens to 8-1/2" (206mm).They all three needed to be tweaked just a little to get the ends too line up, but no big deal. The adjustment wheels work great and spin very easily after washed and spun in and out a few times. I'm not sure what the description means buy 'quick release wheel'...but they do spin very nicely after a little prep. The springs are strong, as they should be. All in all, for $12.49, these are very good, for most jobs.

A must for any lathe worker. Inside, outside..... you can even get to that itch in the middle of your back that you used to use a yardstick on. These are good.... but make sure you don't leave them in moisture prone areas. They will rust up on you.

Very happy with the construction of this caliper and divider set. They are sturdily made and hold position. No worries about adjustments slightly changing while making multiple cuts. Would buy this product again. No regrets

For the money these measuring devices are good. I use them in my home shop and they will work fine.

So, they aren’t precision tools. I didn’t pay for precision tools. They do what they should. Needed a little straightening and a lot of cleaning. Will rust without a shot of dry coat.

Like the other reviewers, they are a bit stiff for use, especially for people with old hands. It takes a while to unscrew and it is not a smooth mechanism. So if you have 5 minutes to spare to unscrew and rescrew to adjust these, go for it
