The two points of the caliper did not meet together but I was able to gently bend them into alignment. I'll keep it.

I needed these for an art school project, and they can rusty! I am not afraid of a little rust, but for something that’s supposed to be “brand new”, it should not have rust! This is unacceptable, I would rate 0 starts if I could
