As others have said, this is a well-built bow. The finish, however, not so. The notch finish is shoddy at best and quite rough. You'll likely need to grab some fine sandpaper and sand it smooth.So, why the one star? Simple! What you're looking at in Amazon's photo is NOT the bow you'll be receiving. The photo up right now shows a riser of maple, purple heart, and a thin stripe of walnut. This is a PREVIOUS model. The current model as of September 2015 is a riser made of almost entirely walnut with a bit of maple and possibly ebony? Not sure what it is, but it's a letdown. Until OMP changes their listing, my intention is to reduce their sales as best as possible. This is a $170 bow being sold at $235 as if it were still made with purple heart. That's not okay.Otherwise, this is a fantastic bow. There's no stacking whatsoever, and it has a lovely draw. Little handshock as well, but remember this has to do with your string and the weight of your arrows, too. I've got some heavy arrows, and they work phenomenally! Overall, I'm quite happy with this bow, but beware that you will not be receiving the bow in the picture. Check OMP's catalog for the most recent Ozark Hunter model.One last thing: the bow DOES come with a string. Make sure to check the shipping tube for it, as it'll likely be in the very bottom.

Just relieved it today. I strung it. It looks good and feels solid. I'll use it as soon as the weathers nice. But I am over all very happy with the purchase. Even though it was 2 days late.
