No assembly required! Such a rarity with lawn and garden products on amazon, and a refreshing change of pace. Though they do recommend you tighten/snug the bolts on the blade before use.Sometimes pictures are deceiving, but this is the real deal. A super thick and sturdy center shaft connects the welded t-bar handle to the blade down below. This comes with a blade guard for storage, which is nice as well.In terms of use, I used this on my very damp but VERY high clay content soil, and it did much better than my gardening shovel. I found I am actually able to use this without need to use my feet, I can actually cut the ground and roll with just my upper body. This will come in very handy for edging my backyard path when it's time to mulch!

Extremely solid construction, goes in the dirt easily. The blades are sharp and cut back the grass and roots easily (although I did wait to use it after a rainy day to soften the ground). I wouldn't say that it's to heavy but it definitely has some heft to it. Definitely gave a better look to my lawn than when I try to use the weed wacker to edge, Plus I didn't have to worry about throwing rocks around. One day of hard work with this tool and you should be able to maintain it fairly easy with just a weed wacker or mowing.

I like the size and shape of the T shaped handle on this tool, it fits well in the hand without discomfort, the business ens has aggressive teeth and a nice lip to put your boot on to drive the head down into the ground. I used it on the edge of my drive and walkway and it works very well indeed, I was able to push the grass back and make a nice separation between the concrete and grass without much effort. I highly recommend this tool if you into not doing the work with a power tool and like a little bit of manual labor this is for you.

This edger is SOLID and seems really sturdy. I have a lot of rock on my property and I've bent more than one edger by hitting stone too aggressively. I don't think I'll have that problem with this, however, because it seems really strong and NOT likely to bend under pressure. It's a good height for me too and the strong teeth cut through even thatched grass easily

A great edger - comes super-sharp out of the box, and no assembly required. It's fairly heavy, in a good way, and sturdy, so no worries about bending or breaking the edge. Wide enough lip on the edge to jump on it with both feet if you're doing the edge on your solid-clay yard. We're happy!

This edger is made of much thicker steel than I expected. The handles have plastic sleeves for grip and the handle is a very thick tubular steel. The blade is setup so that it can be replaced. The teeth on this thing are sharp so be careful. It comes with a small sheath to keep it safe in storage. It cuts sod very well. Even though it is very sturdy the blade is meant for up and down cutting and edging. I would not attempt to use it to pry something like a rock out of the ground as with enough pressure it could bend the blade.

The husband does not like to do the lawn edges, so I'm taking matters into my own hands. I like this 40-inch border edger and how well-built this Manganese steel tub gets the job done quickly and easily. I like the serrated blade, and it slices through the lawn, giving me the perfect edge lawn with a clean line. The weight of the edger slices through the grass like butter. The size works and keeps me from hurting my back. The functionality of the edger with the rust-resistant and water-resistant design makes it the best tool for a beautiful yard.
