The picture is clear, it's bright, and the short throw doesn't have much distortion. The HDR option is, I think, HDR in name only, but the picture is slightly better than our 2-yr-old Epson projector (which is not HDR). Also, the remote lights up when you push any button which seems like not a big deal, but is incredibly helpful. We got this for a portable use but we're seriously considering using it for our regular home projector.
