These are very easy for people to use when they cross the road. We put them up in our town by affixing plastic pipe to crossing sign posts. We used 2" white plastic pipe and stuck curved bits on the end so the rain can drain. You can fit about 4 flags in a 2" pipe.If children come to school in a car, then leave by walking across the crosswalk there's a risk the flags will all end up at one end of the crosswalk - so I'd recommend moving them if necessary. The flags are easily seen and seem to get used by runners and walkers as well as children.
