My IP has just refused to actually seal for a while now. It would sputter the entire time it cooked and I could never figure out a reason. I replaced the gasket and the thing under the ... silver thing. The float? I am not sure which part is which because I feel like the black part floats, too!Finally I bought this and ... it fixed the problem. When I cook things now, the IP actually seals and does not sputter the entire time. I trust cooking times again. I don't understand what went wrong, but this fixed it. Cheap fix and wish I had started with this and not the seals.
