This spigot lock is great! I appreciate that it comes with more than one type of lock - either a lock and key lock, or a combination lock. The lock that goes around the spigot fits perfectly and gives great peace of mind to ensure that no one uses our water during the hot summer months. Definitely worth the small investment.

I picked this lock because my 2 year old kept turning on the outside faucet, flooding my patio. The metal part folds open and has a hole for the faucet to fit trapped inside. It included 2 locks and a velvety drawstring pouch. The keys provided are little so I can easily identify them from all of my other keys.

It does lock around even spigot with back flow valves (the cap on top in some areas that require it) but it's pretty loose and doesn't look great just dangling. Also does not prevent people from breaking your valve that's still exposed out of anger.

I've had issues with my neighbor's contractors using my water lately. The neighbor has a lock on their hose faucet, so the contractors have continually just walked over to mine to help themselves.This is an affordable way to keep the peace and prevent others from using my water. This type of lock isn't the most foolproof version of a spigot lock, and I'm sure you could snap the padlock off with a thick screwdriver or tire wrench, but I think it's a good deterrent.It comes with both a combo lock and a keyed lock.

The lock with keys must have been defective or keys didn’t match lock because I couldn’t open lock.

While this metallic case works as designed to prevent access to the outdoor faucet handle, I believe the entire market of these products is overpriced. It is just a metal sleeve that opens and can be locked. However since all of them overcharge, this particular unit is actually a better value because it includes a high quality lock with 3 keys.The optional combination lock saves you the trouble of carrying a key but creates its own trouble by having a fixed combination that is set permanently by the factory. It is a 4-digt code that you press down and then flick the bottom button to unlock. This requires you to memorize yet another code if you have multiple units or if you’re lucky enough, maybe the combination spells out something meaningful from a phone keypad with letters. I personally find both locks inconvenient. Nevertheless this cover works as expected and has better value than its competition even as it’s not ideal.
