Worked surprisingly well, it was durable and worked flawlessly. It was able to detect light even when there was snow or rain and the sky was particularly dark, it was able to turn on only at night. I was skeptical on the build quality as it was smallish but it has lasted me all season with no issues. Happy with the purchase.

Maybe I misinterpreted the description on the timer function. I thought that setting the timer to 2 Hours would turn on the device for 2 hours. That's not how its designed to work. By design, the timer function only works after Dusk. I need it to function at any time during the day or night in my garage. I'm using it to recharge a kids battery powered jeep and I don't want to overcharge the battery. Sometimes I forget about it and remember the next day that the charger is still plugged in. To make the timer work the way I want it to, was to simply place a small piece of black electrical tape over the light sensor photo cell..

I would have given it 5 stars but when it arrived I plugged it into the outdoor lights that I wanted Dusk to Dawn. I first moved the dial to On, but the lights didn't come on. I moved the dial to 4 Hrs, lights came on, but according to the instructions that setting was to provide power at dusk and shut off after 4 hours.I turned the dial to Dusk and it worked that night and beyond.The steps I took above made me think the product was defective.
