I opted for the large oval snowboard brushes and I'm glad I did. The size really helps to keep the process quick. I also like the velcro straps, and the "pad" for your thumb slot against it. The brass and horsehair brushes seem to lose hairs as you use them out of the box, but I'm thinking that will taper off with time (there is plenty of hairs so you can spare the loose ones). The metal scraper should not be used except for ptex/base repair so it's a bit of a strange inclusion, and I did not bother with the edging tool, but it was a nice inclusion and the brushes are still a great price.

New to the sport, and love working on my own things. Waxing a snowboard is probably the closest I will ever get to meditating. It is very relaxing and this kit did a wonderful job without breaking the bank, though admittedly I have only used the brushes, they are perfect if you want the satisfaction of doing the work yourself. Asked the guys at my mountain's shop to rate my work and they told me it was absolutely perfect for everyday riding.

The brushes work well, although I wish the bristles were a little longer as I end up working pretty close to (and sometimes rubbing) the base. Not a big deal, and the price is a fraction of comparable Swix or Toko products. The detuning stone is handy and useful to detune tips and tails after using a edge file to deburr them if you don't have one already. The steel scraper and edge tuner are rubbish and shouldn't be used; get an acrylic scraper and a quality edge tuner like a Toko if you want to tune your edges.

Doesn’t come with wax but all the tools work good. My husband has helped a lot of our friends wax their skis as well. The rust remover is a game changer

This is an alright starter kit for anyone wanting to try ski tuning. It's not complete and has limitations. The kit could use some gumi stones (for taking dings out of edges, removing rust, and polishing). Some wax (and a means to apply it) and some P-tex (and possibly metal grip) would round out a basic kit, along with rags (or fiberlene) and a box to keep it all together. However, for what it is, it's a good travel or starter kit.The brushes are good (though if I had a snowboard, I'd want bigger ones), and the scraper is alright (but be careful when using a metal scraper so that you do not gouge your bases). However, I would not trust the edge file for anything more than some rough touching up of my ski edges. The file itself is Ok, but the holder is not so good. It does not do a good job of securing the file. In addition, the holder is not designed to retain any file but the small one that comes with the kit.The whole kit is compact and would fit into a small bag for travel, but none is provided. In addition, there are no directions provided -- it would have been nice if some basic information had been provided, especially with respect to how to use the edge tool, since that tool has the most potential to mess up one's skis or board. To conclude, this is an Ok starter or travel kit, but it does have limitations.

I purchased a couple used boards off marketplace for my two younger boys and this worked perfect to get it ready for the snow. I fixed the edges and cleaned up the old wax before getting a fresh coat of wax
