I recently purchased the OXO splatter screen, which has renewed my enthusiasm for pan-searing. I wish I had known about these devices sooner! Cleanup is so much better. It provides about a 90% + reduction in spatters: a few still get out, but mostly when you have to take it off to flip your food. I have put a paper towel over the top of it to catch tiny droplets as well, but I don't know if this really makes a difference.I like that it fits multiple pot sizes, but there is a lot of overhang with a small pan. It still works great, but if you have a narrow/small stove, it could encroach on other burners. I prefer this potential trade-off vs. having to store multiple splatter guards. Dishwasher clean up is great, but it does take up a fair amount of space.Overall, an excellent device and one that I recommend.

This splatter screen is very effective, light weight and has a great design. Keeps grease from popping all over your stove or yourself. Has high heat retention and amazing quality. Oxo is one of my favorite brands for my kitchen. Definitely recommend.

This screen does a good job of catching spatters and letting steam out and, because it's fairly rigid, it's much easier to clean.One thing to note is that though the description says it's dishwasher safe, I think it's too large to fit into most dishwashers unless it's laying flat. Also, because it's stainless steel and collects grease (that's it's job after-all), it's prone to discoloration.All that said, it's a good product and I prefer it to a typical screen style splatter guard.

My husband gets so mad at me because I rarely turn on the vent fan over our range when cooking. But when I hear things sizzling and splattering about, I absolutely reach for a splatter screen first.I had a set of 3 mesh splatter screens that I loved. 3 different sizes for different sized pans. They claimed to be dishwasher safe but over time, they rusted and one handle eventually broke off.When looking for a new splatter screen I came across this one and immediately loved that is was Oxo brand as I believe they are great quality products.I also loved that this was a one size fits all screen, meaning I only needed to store one and not 3. In addition, the folding handle option is awesome! It allows me to easily store it in cabinets and in the dishwasher. In addition, it feels sturdy like it will not break off easily.As far as the ability to keep my range top clean and limit splatter, it does a good job. But I have found with almost any splatter screen, you are never going to have complete avoidance of some grease getting on your counters/stove top. But this one definitely helps limit that a lot.In addition, it fits great over all of my pans. It is very very large!My only complaint is that it is so large that it actually gets a bit stuck in the dishwasher when I am pulling the bottom rack out and pushing it back in. But as long as I am careful about how it is leaning when I do this, it is fine.

Great product. I’ve used a lot of these and this is the best one by far. I like that it’s a sheet of metal with holes in it as opposed to a wire screen, it makes it easier to clean. I also like how it folds, makes it much easier to store. It will discolor, but you are cooking at 450+’degrees, what do people expect?! Great product, would buy again.

Wondering if it was not store properly or package well. It was bent out of shape so defeats the purpose to lay flat on top pots. My husband was able shape it as it was aluminum. Not completely flat but it is better than how I received it. Making use of it. The handle also flips to folding too easily. No locking mechanism for handle. Other than these two flaws I do like it better than the $1 version I've bought. It is sturdier not flimsy. Easy to clean than the netted version.

This splatter screen works fairly well. It fits the frying pans as stated, and is pretty sturdy. The fold-down handle is a great feature. I used it when frying bacon in a large frying pan and I did notice tiny little splatters on the stove, but that could have been because I raised the screen to turn the bacon. If you do something like that, I would suggest raising the screen only part-way and "sneaking" the tongs or spatula under the screen to turn the food and then lowering the screen back down onto the pan. It did splatter much, much less than the mesh-type screens. As far as easy to clean goes, as soon as I removed it from the frying pan, I stood it up in the lower rack of the dishwasher, handle extended, and it came out beautifully. I didn't even rinse it first. Overall, it's a keeper and I would recommend it.

We liked the fact that this product is versatile enough to be used with all of our frying pans which includes our 13-inch cast iron frying pan. No hot fat can escape this design and it's much easier to clean than the mesh type. Because the handle folds, it takes up less space so it's easy to store vertically with our cutting boards. I've always found OXO Good Grips products to be superior items.

Very happy with this splatter screen. It's well made, easy to clean, made of good stainless steel and the fold-up handle is a great feature that saves on space. One of the foods that splatters the most is fresh peppers (because of their high moisture content), they splatter a lot, especially when first put into a frypan with hot oil, this keeps the splatter to a minimum allowing for much less clean up of the benchtop and range. Happy with my purchase.
