Used as an in ear monitor send for an experienced artist on a four hour gig and it was reliable and easy to use. We weren’t sure what the colors represented around volume knob, but I purchased another for my tool box, because of its durability, convenience, and intuitiveness. There is an LED light that represents the battery life as well.Wireless rigs(at all levels) can be finicky and this could possibly be a low cost solution. I will personally be looking into a reliable battery charger as well.

Since I am not moving around the stage when I play drums, this is a great little amp for running my in-ear monitors through. It is small and the clip adheres well to my belt or my little stand I have for my accessories and, well, keys.Since it is pretty small, it is easy to place anywhere and not have it get in the way. I have a set of extended length wired monitors that have a simple 8mm connector that work great! The sound is clear and the amp cuts through the volume of the kit.Overall, I really like this amp. It is built like a brick and works great. The clip is strong and I have yet to have any issues with it.

I am giving this 4 stars because I THINK (I do not KNOW) that there are similarly priced devices that might be better. For MY amateur needs, this is FINE. But here are my thoughts:+ They are NICE AND LOUD+ 2 AAA rechargable NiCAD batteries last 3+ hours cranking continuous volume+ Durable metal case+ Nice sturdy feeling pot (volume control).+ Sound quality seems FINE TO ME (I do not claim to have "golden ears" but I'm confident this unit certainly doesn't sound bad)+ Accepts TRS line in from balanced mono sources+ OR TRS stereo sources+ Same for XLR input+ ...and has a stereo/mono switch (works well)+ Will accept a 3.5mm TRRS wired ear buds if that's what you've got+ Can turn the unit off with volume switch+ Battery happy/low indicator light+ XLR jack retaining clip- The clip is NOT spring metal, and once bent, won't easily bend back- Not the most comfortable thing to wear if you are sitting down- A bit on the heavy side, adding to discomfort factor- A bit of noise at first @ the headphone jack until I worked the plug in and out several times- The "seven color breathing light" just scream amateur to me, but that's me, an old fart.I mean, if you want something white and noticeable with a changing color volume knob light, then these are your thing. But I would prefer something with a spring metal clip, and not a pot metal clip. For those of you who may be wondering: the "XLR/TRS INPUT LOCK, automatic cable locking" works ONLY if you are using an XLR connector, not a TRS connector, as you would expect.

The P2 Ultra-Compact In-Ear Monitor Amplifier is a versatile and convenient solution for anyone needing a personal headphone amp. With its XLR/TRS input and 3.5mm output, it caters to various audio needs and setups. One of the standout features of this model is the seven-color breathing light, which adds a nice visual touch. The stereo/mono switching feature is incredibly useful, offering flexibility depending on your audio requirements. The compact design ensures it doesn't take up much space, making it ideal for on-the-go use. This amplifier requires 2 AAA batteries. While some might see this as a drawback, I find it advantageous. Having removable batteries allows for easy replacement and the option to use rechargeable batteries, which can be more sustainable in the long run. This way, you don't have to dispose of the entire device once the battery life diminishes, making it a more eco-friendly choice.Overall, the P2 works great. It effectively amplifies sound and helps drown out other noises, providing a clear and immersive audio experience. Whether you're using it for professional monitoring or personal use, it delivers consistent performance. In summary, the P2 Ultra-Compact In-Ear Monitor Amplifier offers a balance of functionality and convenience. Its removable batteries, compact design, and versatile features make it a valuable addition to any audio setup. The only minor consideration is the need for AAA batteries, but the benefits far outweigh this slight inconvenience.Comes boxed with simple instructions.

This thing is like a little tank. It's relatively small in a compact size and has an all metal, very well made outer casing. The unit offers a Stereo and Mono switch, and is lit by 2 LED's, one a power/battery indicator and the other for your Volume knob. What I like about this is that it has a hybrid input that allows for XLR or a TRS cable connection. There is a buiilt in clip so you can clip this to your pants or pocket etc, and it does a great job at staying put. It is operated by 2 AA batteries, so unfortunately it's not a rechargeable unit. But it does well for a good while on fresh batteries. I opt for rechargeable AA's anyways so no big deal... I like that I can change them out if needed by removing a screw (no tools needed) to get the clip off which doubles as the battery bay door. Sound is nice and clean and does a great job at amplifying. This is my first IEM amplifier that isn't wireless, so I can't compare it to others that are very similar being hard wired. Great unit.

I got this for when I bang on the electric drum pads and don't want to wake or disturb anyone else in the house. Works and sounds great! It's very small, so it's easy to travel with. It's metal and built well.I highly recommend!5 out of 5 stars.
