The 24 grit sanding discs are very aggressive at surface preparation. These are the type usually used on a die grinder but my particular application used a hand drill at lower RPMs. The 3" pad is much quicker at removing surface imperfections than the 2" pad that is more common. The twist-lock mechanism attached the pads easily to my 1/4" drill mandrel making change outs a snap. With 25 pads I have plenty of backups and the price was competitive while the quality of the grit and the backing paper were superior to other brands. The zirconia oxide abrasive was a noticeable improvement over aluminum oxide pads in terms of cutting capabilities and durability over time.

I utilized these sanding discs refurbishing and painting an old steel BBQ. I used them both with a air powered die grinder and an electric drill.They performed well with both but the slower speed of the drill was more comfortable for me to use. Each disc seemed to hold up quite well during the task and the ability to allown the disc to flex made some countoured areas easier to reach. The quick loc mandel made these quick to change out and is a real benefit. Overall quite happy with the performance and longevity of these sanding discs.

This is a well made set of sanding discs. This set does NOT come with the mounting piece needed to use the discs however and a quick perusal of Amazon shows that for the same price or less you can get sets with as many or more discs along with the sanding tool that they mount to.

I wish these came in an assortment package, but I got the #120 grit to try them out, and they perform quite well. They did not include a backing plate either, another mistake in my opinion, but I had an old won that firs these discs and once I got going with them, they turned into real work horses. They last a long time on steel and this 25 pack will last a long time. So if you have the right hardware, I can recommend these.

I have used this style of disc before, but usually in a heavier grit. I saw the 120 grit and wanted to give them a try for some finishing and polishing on some metal work I was doing. First try was in the air grinder, worked good, but I think the RPMs are too high for this fine of a grit. Next put them on my drill and got very good results.Lifespan was better on the drill than on the air die grinder, ( like I said I think the RPMs are to high) good ability to flex them into corners and get a nice smooth shiny finish when I was done.Price wise you can save some money buying them from Amazon as opposed to a box store, and they should last comparatively as long.Works good and if you use this type of disc frequently this is a good value.

These 24 grit discs make quick work of stripping layers of paint from metal. They're also good at grinding and shaping welds. I use them with my angle die grinder and my cordless drill. I've used the quick change discs for a while because it's so much easier to spin off/on a fresh disc, change grits or switch to a scotchbrite disc.
