It took 15 minutes to install, and it works like a charm on my 6 years old MacBook Pro 13†A1278. The touchpad on my MacBook didn’t work properly anymore, I tried opening and cleaning the touchpad but that didn’t help much. I ordered this one, and it arrived in two days instead of three promised days.

For $19, don't expect an Apple product-quality. This trackpad is far from behaving like an original Apple trackpad... The left and right clickers often don't work, switch sides, or simply non-responsive. The sensitivity of the trackpad is much lesser than the original, even for soft touches. Single clicks often don't register at all and have to be repeated. And don't get me started on the multi-finger gestures... But all in all, my original one stopped working, and this one does work (to a degree), and it's cheap.

I bought two of these to replace a trackpad that was cracked and had stopped clicking and, had to return them both. The first one I tried made the cursor jump around the screen, which was NOT happening with the original. I could even install the second one because the screw holes were too small. I wouldn't leave a negative review for ONE bad item, because stuff happens, but TWO bad ones...

The item was easy to install and fitted well into the original sockets. I am not a computer specialist but with little help from You Tube managed to install with ease. The connectors are sturdy and locks well.I tested on many applications and the trackpad works well and can not say it is a replacement item compared to the original track pad that was replaced.Highly recommended.

the trackpad is faulty, not sure if its just the unit I received or a defect on this model line, but I cant recommend this brand as it works very unreliably.

Not a perfect fit, and color is a bit off. Also seems bit harder to click. But works well.
