I needed a way to make a three position switch power two lights in one position and one light in another. This diode did the trick perfectly.In one position the running lights are all on, in the the other only the anchor light is on. Can't beat for $10!

I'm an emergency responder and have 2 sets of strobes on my vehicle. I have my body strobes and my front and rear windshield strobes. I wanted to be able to run my body strobes by them selfs but when I had the windshield strobes on I wanted the body as well and this little diode thing made that an easy thing to do. I had a 3 way switch and this was a super simple plug and play item and I'm so beyond happy with how it works and came out. I'm sure people have known of this but this was a game changer.

I used these to operate the brake/turn signals from a 7 pin connector to the rear lights of a CJ7. It worked perfectly! It would turn on all the lights if I didn't use the diode and wouldn't get any turn signal ability. This worked really well and they are well protected.Pros:-Male and female spade connectors-High quality shrink wrapCons:-NoneOverall I would recommend this for small one off items as it is decently priced and already has shrink wrap and spade connectors installed.

Has male and female clips on both ends which made install super easy. Only issue was I had to put my meter on it to figure out which way current flowed.

I used this a bit differently. I wired up several air horn relays to my main horn switch on the steering wheel. Later I added a button that I only wanted to sound the tug boat horn. Unfortunately the electricity feeds back and triggers all horns. With this diode on the wire that feeds back to the other horns I am now able to trigger the tug horn alone with its button. Or all the horns including it with the main switch. Wish I would have known there are one way valves for electricity years ago! The connectors are neat to. Unbend the male part and use it. Or break it off and use the female portion.

installing a high torque/mini starter in an older car that would have had 2 extra terminals on the starter (one for start and one for coil). New starters only have one extra terminal so you need to supply extra voltage to the starter when cranking but not afterwards. A diode allows you to affect that and enables the "R" wire to plug on the only available post with the coil wire and get your voltage up. This package was designed for ATV i think but still had a 6 amp diode and was easily 1/2 the price of the purpose built units.

Lost cranking current to a bug ignition coil, so tapped into starter solenoid. This prevented the coil from powering the starter while engine running.

Restoring a 1966 Fairlane and found out that before 1968 the front park lights turn off when you turn on the headlights. I wanted the front park lights to stay on with the headlights so wired this diode into the circuit. Now the park lights stay on like I want them to and don’t back feed into the headlight circuit when only the park lights are on.

needed 2 of these to upgrade an older Vintage air wiring job to use relays and controls. worked great for getting power where its needed without feeding back to other controls.

It would help if the diode was marked which way to connect.
