Great speakers for the price but a few things I didn't realize. These are two independent speakers. They don't work in unison without some tinkering.You have to have additional cables to connect the two so they will play as a pair. As well as additional cables to connect to external device for playback... Like mp3 player or projector.I don't know much about speakers so this may be obvious to the regular audio crowd.Otherwise great sound for outdoor movies and medium sized gatherings. Will run you out of a small room.

Can't beat performace for the price. Great outdoor speakers for block parties. Much better than I thought they'd be for their size. I have used them both outdoors and indoors (in a big room for a class reunion) and they perform great! Very loud when necessary. They are both powered so anything can feed them, including a mp3 player or even an iphone. Also a microphone can be plugged into either one, or both separately, for speaking during the music. Going to use them again this weekend for an outdoor family gathering and know they will be perfect. Stands are heavy duty and come with a carrying case.

First off, they are great speakers. Good amplification and sound quality. My problem with them is how they really garbled up the ports, so you can't connect them without a mixed cable (1/4" out to XLR in, not included). I bought the lower end speakers b/c I did not need the power ofthe higher models, but I wished their construction didn't create such headaches.

Been using this product for about 6 months now. Very happy. However, if you are playing any large outdoor venues and shows, you may want to upgrade to a larger/higher wattage speaker.

These speakers are very affordable and have good sound quality. I bought them in late October for an outdoor moving night in early December. I received the speakers 2 days later and tested them out for about 4 hours and all went well. I stored the speakers for the next 40 days in a closet on a shelf. When I pulled them out for the movie night, one of the speakers had a loud humming noise coming from it when I turned it on. I could not use it for the movie. The movie still sounded great with one speaker but I was upset that the other failed when I needed it. It has a one year warranty and I shipped back for repair, but I was most concerned with why it stopped working and if I will have problems with the other speaker. I was told by purchaser that this is not normal for these speakers to be defective and they have not received many of them back for repair. So maybe there aren't many out there with this issue. As you can see from the pics, the front of the speaker also lights up so you don't have to worry about somebody tripping on it at night. (the speaker on the right)

I just turned the speakers on and they have a buzz. This is when all of the dials are turned all the way down. I even turned my mixing board off and they still buzzed. I don't like that because when the music is turned down low, the buzz is overpowering.I do not recommend them. I have the 16 in Rockville, and I am happy with them.
