Upgrade Material
This out fit is a great upgrade from our regular student model violas, it has all ebony pegs and chinrest, alloy tailpiece with built-in fine tuners, it has oil-varnish with smooth surface. Wood used on viola has been dried for more than 15 years.
Package comes with case, bow rosin and shoulder rest.

Notes to New Players
1. Viola need to be tuned every time before playing. When tuning, push pegs inward so the peg stay in place, sometimes extra force is needed to keep the pegs from slipping.
2. For the first time, bow need to be rosined for 5 minutes (or 30-50 full passes), and after every 4-6 hours practice, rosin need to be reapplied.
3. Loose bow hair each time after playing, and tighten your bow by gently tuning the tension screw.
4. After playing the viola, gently clean it with a soft, clean, lint-free cloth to remove rosin build-up on the strings and any dust, oil or sweat.

This has been such a pleasure to learn to play.This is my first time taking music lessons.It has been a pleasure learning to play on this viola.This instrument stays in tune really well.

I honestly just need to know what I bought. It's almost impossible to tune, and I don't yet want to waste more money on strings to compare, but I think I've been ripped off! The frog of the bow is a Viola style, but the case says 4/4. I wanted a Viola! I PAID for a Viola! The picture in the description of the product shows a violin bow, btw. I hope I can still return this, but sometimes it's more trouble than it's worth, yanno? But totally feel ripped off 😒

I don't know if this was my fault or the viola's, but when I was trying to tune it, the string snapped off, I've tuned instruments before, and this hasn't happened.

The bow hairs all fell off because the thing inside came out while I was playing. Bridge is not properly made either.
