It's a specially-formed hose and it is exactly like the original in this car.Fixed the dripping coolant problem which was puzzling me. Upon very close inspection noticed that the leak was not between the metal pipe and the inner wall of the hose, as was expected, instead, it was leaking minute droplets from the edges of the clean-cut hose where the reinforcement thread can be seen. In other words, it was leaking as if the hose had two layers to it and coolant was coming from there. This made me think that the hose had separated somewhere inside the inner wall. I hope this makes sense. The theory is proven since the hose worked perfectly, with no leaks.Note: Reuse the hose's spring clamps that came from the factory, not the screw & strap type. The factory type is superior!

This hose connects from the Bypass Pipe going under the intake manifold to the Pipe with Bleeder. It sits just above and to the Left of the Front Valve Cover.

Part was an OEM item and fit exactly. Solved the small leak that was occurring there. Definitely worth buying the correct item rather than trying to use bulk hose to attempt to make this repair.

Old one was getting a little hard and needed extra clamp to keep good seal for a while now, replaced it while redoing head gaskets on a 3.5L 06 Malibu.
