Perfect fit for replacement and worked first time with new plug and everything restored.Initial troubleshooting/testing of problem I reduced the gap on a spark plug to 0.010 gap from standard 0.040 and the blower started, ran poorly but at least it would run.

Put this in my Echo PB250LN and it started first pull. We'll see how long it lasts!

The ignition coil only produces a spark at very high rpm. I tested it with a drill rotating the flywheel at 750-1,000 rpm. It produces a spark at that speed. Good luck pull starting an engine that fast. This module does not work properly. It should be able to produce an acceptable spark with a normal pull start. I spent a great deal of time assuming I was doing something wrong, but I know that the flywheel gap is at 0.010 inches and that is manufacturer's specification. If you cannot furnish me with an ignition that works properly, I want a refund. If you can, send it out and I will try it. I've seen You Tube videos where somebody slowly rotated a Briggs & Stratton flywheel by hand without the recoil starter, and it still produced a visible spark at the plug. This ignition does not do that. The flywheel magnet has a very strong pull. There is no grounding circuit attached to the ignition module while I've been testing it. I'm wondering if you have a batch of defective modules and that's why you're selling them for $20.

I put this on my Echo PB250. Note that there are no instructions that come with it. On the PB250 you will have to remove the cowling and the fan to access the coil. The mount holes are oval. Before you remove your old coil measure the gap between magnetic legs and the strip on the flywheel so you can move the coil around to set the gap before you tighten it down otherwise you’ll have tear it down again when it doesn’t fire. The coil works great and seemed to be made well.
