10/18/23 - Patelai Store, 8Pcs Diamond Painting Trays (Purchased 7/11/23)For me, these are excellent trays. I've been using them for 3 months and they are the trays I use most. I was working on the Stained Glass Cat which is about 98% confetti. I loved the picture so much, I bought the 24" x 36" size. Well, let me tell you, covering a 24" x 36" canvas with teeny-tiny drills is very time-consuming and switching out colors, only to use a few at a time, dampened my love for the picture. Once I received these trays, though, I could connect as many as I needed without have to switch-out trays and colors for extended periods. I finished my Stained Glass Cat a month ago and it really is an eye-catching piece! I definitely love it!I read some comments where some trays were received, broken. Mine weren't broken. I purchased the transparent ones. They are made of a plastic that has a little bit of a flex to it, so they should not break easily. The only thing I found was that when using light colored drills, it was sometimes more beneficial to use a darker color tray. As a matter of fact, that's why I returned -- to see if the were some colored trays in this style. They don't seem to be available and so, I may buy another set of transparent trays and paint the bottoms.

So 1st off im writing this review as someone who has never done a diamond painting and got these for another purpose. That said for my purposes these are really handy! I am a mixed media artist and a couple months ago starting using flatback pearls rhinestones etc... I had an order that requested the use and fell in love with how it added something to my work so I started buying mixed multi packs and separating myself trust me alot of reviews to come on those items lol. Anyway after struggling with different forms of ways to hold, separate and sort my gems my daughter gave me 1 of her diamond painting trays to help and game changer. I could shake and separate with these unlike flat bead trays and it kept them all together instead of all over my craft mat etc. But still had some issues so I started looking through diamond painting drill trays and saw these and thought yeah ill try them and see...The 1st biggest issue I was having was if I needed to stop what I was doing I needed to secure what I had done without risking the headache of a massive pearl spill. These help with that to an extent. They stack so that is helpful for storage purposes as well as I try to leave 1 tray empty to place as a lid now the downside is yes it has a lid but not all the secure. Even if you get it lined up correctly so they stay together its not like an actual tight lid if ur stack gets knocked down ur still gonna have a mess. Now these aren't made to have a secure lid so im not holding that against them I just bring it up so someone doesn't think they can use it as a secure bead/drill container that won't spill. Now the little flap on the front of the funnel is nice to hold the beads in the tray unlike the tray my daughter gave me but it does have some draw backs ... it tends to stick and you have to pull a little on it to get it loose which if ur not careful can cause a huge mess with the beads inside same with when u put it back u basically gotta jiggle and adjust it to get it correctly secured and that can mess with the beads inside. Now again if you are using these for diamond painting that might not be an issue you have to deal with. I love the fact these are clearish so I can see what color I want from the stack. I do like the ability to have 2 different beads separated in the same tray and if I need to dump from 1 side without mixing the 2nd I just place cardboard over the not used side. So for the most part being used for an off label use I like these and will probably get more if I keep getting into the gems pearls and rhinestones!

Because these trays have posts for linking multiple units together, they must be oriented in the same direction for the stacking feature to work properly, i.e. when stacked, the side with the posts must all be on one side.I think these are great and fit together well. No warping or damage to prevent them from stacking. I’m sure I’ll find an occasion to order more, and I hope they keep up the quality.

My mom bought some of these drill trays for us to try and I liked them so much I ordered some more. They are easy to hold. The diamond painting drills fit well and slide out easily when returning to the drill container. You can connect them when you want to use multiple trays for confetti heavy canvases. I will say if you order colored trays like the blue or purple, the darker drills are harder to see in them. That’s why I went with the clear trays this time All drill colors show up well. I definitely would order these again. I like the fact that you can put two drill colors in one tray as it has the divider in the middle. So with 8 trays you actually get 16 drill compartments.

Rearranging is limited as these only hook together side by side. They crack easily; 2 were cracked at receiving. They do not have a pour spout. The green ones that come in the kits are actually better.

I love how you don't have to have a bunch of trays in a tray holder. It's easy to set up and use and you don't have to worry about the drills getting mixed together because the separator doesn't move. You can also connect them together or use them separately.

They are sturdy, useful I would suggest to have a lead aswell
