I constructed a vacuum flask using an empty isopropanol bottle and a keyboard vacuum cleaner to use with this, the speed at which it was able to process out non soluble elements from liquids was impressive, a small amount of the solid (finely powdered sediment) did manage to pass filtration but it was negligible, and easily retrieved by simply returning the solution to the initial flask used to wash the soluble elements out, then leaving it to precipitate. The quantity that managed to find a way past the filter was less than 2% of the total recovered, and this was my first attempt to use a Buchner funnel so no doubt my technique is sloppy.Can confirm neither acetone nor isopropyl alcohol appear to harm it.
