The directions were minimal, both the illustrations and the wording. The lock on the inside works but the key on the outside does not. It could be because of the terrible directions.

The door handle I bought is a great quality but the key gets stuck in the keyhole and you have to work with it a long time to get it out. Very frustrating. It happened every time we tried to use it. So I’m not using that door as my entrance anymore. My neighbor already had one that worked the same way so he was sent another one just like it. Both of his did the exact same thing so they aren’t using that door as the entrance anymore. There’s definitely a problem with the key getting stuck so you can’t pull it out.

It took a little finagling because the pre-existing "plate" on the door jam that the latch hooks into was a little off. We fixed that by "raising" or extending it with a couple of washers and then it latched perfectly. The packaging includes extra screws of different lengths and extra latch handles to try with your particular door. Very happy with our choice.

This is a great product, easy to install. my original latch broke and did not have key lock. this one does have it and I am happy.

This item is not made very well. The locking mechanism bent very easily while engaging and disengaging the walk once installed, which created problems the screws that were provided with the are Very cheaply made, and became stripped very easily utilizing a screwdriver, the proper size which created problems during the installation to the point that I removed the whole handle and discarded it overall not very happy with this product. Would not recommend buying this product to anyone.

This may require the lock rod to be shortened a bit (I ground it down) as not to interfere with the thumb latch rod, else they interfere in the lock body resulting in a stiff locking mechanism. This adjustment step is not mentioned in the installation instructions provided.

L'ensemble a bien fonctionné sur ma vieille porte-patio sauf que la longueur des vis de la nouvelle poignée étaient de 2 pouces seulement et vu la nouvelle construction de la poignée vs mon ancienne, il manquait ½pouce pour rejoindre la 2e partie extérieure de la poignée avec la serrure. J'ai donc trouvé des vis de 2pouces½ et j'ai gardé la vieille poignée intérieure avec le clapet et ajouté juste la partie extérieure avec la clé dont j'avais besoin. Aucune autre manipulation n'a été nécessaire, l'installation a pris 10 minutes! Je recommande! +++ Le prix est excellent!
