I have small betta tanks and the normal gravel cleaning tools won't work in my shallow tanks. I also have a couple bettas who are pretty particular about food. If they don't like it, they won't eat. With this pipette, cleanup is simple to remove uneaten food and fish waste. So simple but so useful! I use this on a daily basis!

It's a great length to reach the bottom of a 10 gallon aquarium. That said, I purchased it hoping I could get my sand clean without lots of water changes with a larger siphon. It CAN do that. But it's very tedious and slow. I would think that as a coral feeder, it would be great! But if you are looking for something to get bits of waste out, it will take forever. For the price, it's a great tool to have, though!

I expected the tube to be one solid piece and glass for some reason but I'm actually happy it's not. It's a plastic tube with a silicone bulb and silicone tip. The plastic makes it more durable (I drop things) and the removable tip makes it really easy to clean. It's great for feeding corals or gravel vacuuming very small crevasses. The length is also great because I don't have to get my entire arm wet when using it! I have a deep tank so this is great! Definitely recommend as it has a wide variety of uses in a variety of tanks (fresh, salt, big, small).

I previously bought a "professional" set of reef tank coral feeding supplies. That one included a huge turkey baster but the problem was it was so large that when putting the baster into the tank it would leak the contents out of the gaping hole. In contrast, this coral feeder has a small rubber nozzle with a tiny hole that you attach to the end. This keeps the contents inside allowing you to target feed with precision.
