Nice flute, cheap case. I purchased the flute for my daughter. The hinges broke on the case six months later and she baby’s that thing. She now uses the case that came with her Hallelu flute.

Bought this flute for my daughter who is in her 2nd year. Previously, she had a Prelude, a well regarded beginner flute, on loan from school. I had read reviews about the Pearl and was expecting it to be better, but when she took it out of the box and started playing it we were literally blown away. It's as if this instrument is in a completely different class. The sound and tone are so much better, well formed and rounded. My daughter says it is also easier to play than the old one -- for all I know, this might be just placebo. :)I fully recommend this flute to anyone starting out and serious about flute playing. $200 more than the cheaper good flutes is not little, but it makes a world of a difference. Wonder what the >$1k flutes sound like... ;-)

I love my new Pearl flute. I played in the high school band 25 years ago and have recently begun to play at church services. This Pearl flute has a beautiful tone. The keys have smooth action. Low & high notes are played with ease. The head & body are silver-plated. It has an offset G & split E Mechanism. It seems most of the Pearl flutes offered here have the open hole key style. This particular model has CLOSED HOLE keys. I'm just pointing that out because the info doesn't specify and the picture is deceiving. It comes with a French style case and very nice case cover which is fleece lined, has a carry strap, and has a zipper pocket to keep the cleaning rod & cloths that come with it. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I am like one of the other ladies, I haven't played in about 30 years and wanted to play at my church. I bought an inexpensive flute and it was a waste of money. This flute has an incredible sound. I played one of the songs that I will be playing at church and it sounded like the recording from the sheet music store. This flute is part of their new more economical series but plays beautifully. I would recommend spending a little more and getting a quality instrument instead of wasting your money thinking you are getting a bargain. I payed much less than the current price listed, not sure why it went up so significantly (it doubled)?

This flute has a beautiful sound and it plays really easy and smooth. I have taught myself how to play and the sound comes out with total ease, so I guess if you are being taught by a professional you are going to do a way better job. A musician also told me that he was surprised at how easy the sound came and how good it sounded.I have had this flute for a year now and I'm very happy with my purchase! The silver plating is intact and perfectly shiney. It comes with an awesome hard case and a lined bag to carry it.

When I first decided to buy a Pearl I was hesitant. No one had really bought one in my flute section so they couldn't really tell me if it was worth it. On a whim I purchased it anyways. I can't even tell you how satisfied I am. Fast passages are easier than ever with this flute. It's key response is amazing and it still holds true 3 months later. On top of that, It sounds gorgeous. The tone quality is one of the reasons why I suggest Pearl to everyone I know, it's truly one of the best student models I have ever played.
