This Pre Tuned flute making kit is made out of high quality western red cedar and is tuned to the key of G. It is a fully playable square Native American style flute making kit. It needs to be shaped, sanded and varnished. The slow air chamber (the part you blow into) is fully sealed to protect against moisture from your breath. It is a great choice for any woodworker. They are simple enough that children can complete them with supervision, and they can be made into beautiful ornate pieces of art by the advanced woodworker. The key of G has a low and soothing voice and is a great choice for any level of flute player.

Sounds wonderful. Easy instructions. Great value. Take your time and don't rush through it. Carve with intention. Sand with intention. I'm going to burn some native Taino Indian petroglyphs into the wood then stain it. I'll update when I'm done.Update: Finally finished with the flute. I've finished with some true cherry wood stain, burned Taino Indian petroglyphs. I used artificial deer sinue for thread. The light blue beads represent stages of my life. And the feather's are molted Macaw feather's from Puerto Rico followed by turquoise and fish vertebrae beads.The block is a Crows head. And the symbols represent the elements.

It's great product sounded awesome before and after shaping and customizingAlthough the little songbook shown in the pic with the product was missing,It's still awesome and I'll be buying the other 2 kits, mistakes happen, I was just going to give the book to a friend

I purchased this flute key of G flute a while back. It was my first flute. This is such a great project to do and the wood is great quality. The flute plays so beautifully. I will be purchasing another in the key of F# for my next flute project. I highly recommend these kits and their flutes. I added some feathers, wood burning, leather and cording to mine. I have since purchased a hand planar so my next one will be even better.

This kit plays like a dream, right out of the shipping box! Blows easily and the intonation is spot on! Can’t wait to finish this one off and try another from the same company!
