About this item

  • Pegboard Hook Locks: The function of a pegboard hook lock is to securely fix and prevent the hook from accidental dislodging or falling off, ensuring a stable and reliable hanging solution on the pegboard.
  • Durable Rubber Material: Crafted from high-quality rubber, our hook lock is pliable enough to be pressed in pegboard hole. When hook is pushed through the rubber pegboard hook lock, the lock expands and fixes hook in place.
  • Applicable: Designed for pegboards with 1/4"-9/32" apertures and 1/8"-5/32" hook diameters. (Before ordering, please verify if the nail hole diameter is ≥ 1/4" and the maximum hook diameter is ≤ 5/32".).
  • Buckle Design: With the buckles on the side of the hook locks, keeping the hooks fit very nicely and snugly. So when you push the lock into the pegboard hole, need to squeeze the 2 retainer "ears" into the hole. Pls squeeze harder to go them in the hole or use a small tool if your pegboard holes smaller.
  • Package Quantity: You will get 120pcs black pegboard hook locks in total, large quantity for your daily needs, providing a strong grip while effectively protecting your hooks from damage, ensuring long-lasting use.

Level up your pegboard organization game with our innovative Rubber Hook Lock! Crafted from durable rubber material, this locking mechanism is specifically designed to keep your hooks securely in place, eliminating the risk of them slipping or falling off.

Easy to Use. Just imply push the lock into the pegboard hole, insert the hook, and it's ready for use. But if the pegboard holes are more smaller, please squeeze the buckles on the side of the pegboard hook locks harder to go them in the hole or use a small tool because of the buckle design.

These things are a game changer. I have pegs on the doors, and when I swing open the doors, the loose hooks sometimes fall off. These spacers solve that problem.

I tested many different methods of securing pegboard hooks, and I am happy to share my findings.First, there are Durahooks from Triton Products, available here on Amazon. They literally screw into the pegboard to secure the hook. They are perhaps the most effective solution, but they have a few drawbacks. First, they are limited in styles and sizes and second, they are quite expensive. The next solution I found was the "rubber grommet" solution, which includes this item and some other varieties available on Amazon. I ordered and tried them all and found all of the rubber grommet solutions to work about the same--pretty effective.I tried them first in metal pegboard and they did not work at all; the metal was too thin for the rubber ribs to grip. I did not try them on MDF pegboard, but I tried them on plastic pegboard (Wallpeg is one brand) and BINGO! nearly as effective as the durahooks at a much lower price point. When used, the hooks have a little play and give, but not much and overall they stay in place perfectly well. I was even able to use there with both 1/8" hooks and 1/4" hooks; they are pliable enough to work with both. They are a very cost effective and effective option, yet I think they are quite pricey for what they actually are. A good value for the results, a questionable value based on the cost to produce them in my opinion. But, we pay for results in cases like this and I believe you will be happy.

I had been using the plastic retainers on my pegboard hooks for years. They work OK, but easily break AND often don't work for certain hooks. They also limit hook placement where the ends of the retainers hit the studs holding the pegboard. Saw these and thought I'd try them. I'll never go back to the old style! These worked perfectly. The pictures show before and after.

These are next to impossible to insert into the pegboard hole. I was using my nails and different tools to try. I finally ended up snipping one of the wings off the back which made it easier to insert while still being secure but in no way was it an easy process.

I like the concept of these. I have a lot of tools hanging from pegboard and I don't much care for the retainer straps that come with the hooks. The hooks fit through these very nicely and snugly. However, these retainers really bomb out when they claim "simply push the lock into the pegboard hole, insert the hook, and it's ready for use. No tools or complicated steps required." I even verified that my pegboard had the correct hole size. They recommend a hole size of 1/4"-9/32", and mine has 1/4" holes.I cannot get these installed without some special tool or technique. There are 2 retainer "ears" that won't just go through the hole, and they have to be squeezed inward to get them started. When I do this, though, the soft rubber bulges out on either side of the "ears" and it won't go in the hole. Without a couple fine-pointed tools and some patience, I can't get them installed. Once one is installed, it will stay there, but this is way too much time needed for a modest improvement over the factory retainers.

It was waste of money. This item does not function as it is supposed to do.
