These go in place fairly well with the use of a very small screwdriver to help place them in the pegboard holes. Once in place, they work extremely well to secure the hooks into the pegboard. Hooks that once slipped around and sometimes came out are now securely held into place. The headache of having pegboard hooks coming loose when grabbing a tool or putting a tool back is no more. Get these and you won't be sorry and you will never place a hook without them. Highly recommended.

These work well for holding my pegboard hooks in place. They're a little tricky to get in but if you kinda twist them as you put them in it's not too bad. Just put an edge in the hole and press and turn as you put them in and they work great. No wiggle and the pegboard hooks stay in nicely. I will buy more as I need them.

Ok I recently upgraded my shop pegboard from pressed brown wood to a metal one. I found the metal peg holes gripped less or were sloppy and the pegs would at times come out when removing the tool. These work GREAT. They grip the board and peg and allowed me to continue using the standard metal pegs I already had. Soft rubber. Easy to apply and remove / reposition. Worth it.

For such a small product they pack a big punch! These are great, they are easy to use and make a big difference on the hold of your hardware. They are a must for pegboard!

No good for my standard, run of the mill, pressed wood pegboard. Kind of smooshes but won't go into the hole. Nice idea, and might work with a plastic or metal pegboard.

These locks work really well with my 1/8" hooks which were constantly slipping off the 1/4" pegboards I have. However, they do not work so well with the 1/4" hooks. They are hard to slip onto the 1/4" pegs and then even harder to get them into the holes in the 1/4" pegboard. I just don't have that kind of strength in my 70 year old hands. However, I bought them for the 1/8" pegs and they are perfect for those. It allows me to buy the cheaper 1/8" hooks and use them on my 1/4" pegboards with no chance of slipping off. It was annoying to have a tool resting on the 1/8" peg and have the peg come off when I pulled off the tool. That problem is now solved and Bob's your Uncle.

Well worth the money. They hold my pegboard hooks, etc. in place. Be certain you have the larger holes in your pegboard. They don’t fit the smaller holes. I have both size holes in my pegboards. I ended up drilling each hole a little bigger so they would fit in the hole.

Update: I did not notice that there are two versions of the Pegitz product, one for 1/4" hooks and one for 1/8" hooks. What I started with were the Pegitz inserts for the 1/4" hooks. I just tried the 1/8" hook inserts and they lock my hooks very well. So I have abandoned the solution below and am simply using two of the Pegitz 1/8" hook inserts now.First, I am using these with hardboard pegboard with 1/4" holes. If that's not you, then this may not be relevant. I have struggled with the straps that go across the hooks and several variations of these locking inserts, until now unable to find something that worked for me.First, these are easy to insert AND remove, zero issues there. They grip the hooks super well - in fact they will come out with the hook if you remove it. But the issue is that they don't lock into the pegboard holes at all really. So I still had movement when I lifted items off/out of the hooks.I found a solution to this by combining this product with "Pegitz Pegboard Peg Locks 50PCS (1/4 inch, Black)" (ASIN B07C12P3H8). I was just about to return those and this product and then had an idea. The Pegitz inserts lock into the holes very well, but don't grip the hooks. So I used one of each insert on my hooks, in both the case where the hooks use two vertical holes or use two horizontal holes. Now I had the best of both worlds, the Pegitz insert prevented the hooks/inserts from coming out of the holes while this insert prevented the hook from sliding in and out of the inserts. Crazy as it sounds, my hooks and now nice and solid and I don't feel like any are going to jump out when I remove an item.If you happen to have hooks with only a single leg that inserts into the pegboard, I don't believe you will be happy with this or the Pegitz product - go buy different hooks. These solution does cause the hooks to stick out a VERY small amount off the pegboard. I did not find that to be any issue at all nor did I find it causing my hooks to point upwards as others have mentioned with these insert solutions.
