Seems like a good quality handle, just haven’t used it yet. It fits loose in my Ascend Trek paddle which is good enough for 2 different brands. Loss of one star was due to inaccurate sizing. The part that inserts into the paddle isn’t 1.5 inches. The circumference is about 3.25in, with math the diameter just over 1in. I measured the diameter at just under 1in or 2.3cm.

My Origami Paddler (OP) kayak/paddleboard came with a double-ended paddle (paddles on both sides of the pole), which is great for kayaking, but not great for paddleboarding. When you want to use your OP as a paddleboard, get one of these handles to switch out one of the paddles. So much easier! It fits perfectly.

I hate bringing extra stuff when I go out in my canoe. Keeping my gear to a minimum makes the whole process of getting out on the water less of a chore. Although I love the traditional appeal of using a single blade paddle in a canoe, I’ve found that there are just some scenarios I can’t overcome without a double blade (e.g., strong headwinds and river currents). This makes it hard to decide which paddle(s) to bring on any given day. This little handle is the perfect solution to my dilemma, and a great option for tripping, where water and weather conditions will change. For only the weight/size penalty of this small handle, I can bring one [double blade] paddle (the Pelican Angler in my case), yet have the flexibility to comfortably paddle the canoe in either a single or double blade style.

We use this to turn a 4 piece kayak paddle into 2 canoe paddles. It fits perfectly!!Way cheaper than the shred-a-part carbon fiber one they sell and we DIY our own.

This product was designed specifically for Pelican paddles, so I knew it was a gamble that it would work with any of our paddles. Turns out it works with the Hoodoo paddle and Magellan Outdoors Torrent paddles, with a very small amount of play in both of them. It did NOT fit the Seasense or Bending Branches Whisper paddles. Seems well constructed and doesn't take up much space.

Purchased pelican takedown paddle and this pelican “t†to pair with it .. doesn’t fit either end and cost as much as the paddle !! Waste of money and time !

Works with several Pelican paddle AND on Aqua Marina or other paddle with 26mm ID (internal diameter) paddle shaft. Mine are 29mm OD (outer diameter). I can convert my kayak paddle to shorter rescue paddle or canoe paddle. Great product!

Read the product description carefully...it might fit Pelican paddles, but it certainly isn't useful for all non-Pelican products.
