Great product! Easy to assemble, and fairly sturdy. Tension and stability are good for spooling heavy 65 pound plus lines on big reels.

I used to use a cardboard box with a pencil through it and tension the line by squeezing the box and/or wet cloth holding the line to the rod. It works but is kind of a pain. After respooling a few rods, I decided to try this Penn line winder out. Wow, was it so much easier. It took probably 20% of the time and wasn't as awkward or painful on the arms. I used a 3000yd spool of 50lb braid and a 500 yd spool of 60lb mono. They both fit and worked flawlessly and I really liked how you can set the tension simply by turned the wheel bolt tighter or looser. I was worried it wouldn't stay on my dining table and I would need to clamp it down or something. However, it has rubber feet and a bit of weight to it that allowed it to stay put without moving at all. I'm really impressed! It seems like an item that will hold up for many years. Kind of like a one and done purchase which makes the price worth it over time by far even if the initial investment seems a bit on the high side.

Considering the price point, this will do for my needs. I use it to spool my Electric reels from large 3000 yard spools. Since you need to put tention on the line, it can't be used freestanding. I locked it in place using my workbench vice .

This is a great product , it is just as described by vendor. I have purchased other products in the past trying to save money but quality and performance was poor.I just add wood spacers for small spools, this way I can put them in the center, and avoid having to screw the tightening nut for too long.

Easy to use and can be used with all size spools. I spooled one reel with 20# , another with 30# and another with 50# braid. You can adjust the tension of the line so your line goes on as tight as you want. I was even able to get the braid on my reel tight enough so it doesn’t dig into itself. And of course, I get to save some money spooling my reels myself.

This is a great product. It is well made and heavy so it does not move around. I currently have a 7,200ft spool on it but this will work with a 300ft spool just the same. The tension nut and drag washers work perfect to put as much or as little tension on the spool as you want. Plus it just simply looks cool sitting on my fishing bench. It's not the cheapest one but it is the best one.

Big dislike, Heavy duty but many flawes, paid to set up, hard to clamp down on work table, tensioning the spool does not work, too thick got or nut spins off while spooling line on reel.

Amazing bit of kit, spool up you favorite reels with taught line making casting a dream and getting the correct amount of line on that your reel is designed for with the aid of a line counter. Setup was super quick and it's portable. Best line spooler ever. 10/10
