I'm in the process of refurbishing both modern and vintage reels I was given (some dating to the 1930's-40's) which involved disassembly, oiling, greasing, and re-assembly. This oil was the perfect viscosity. Not so thin it got all over the place, but not so thick that it gums up the reels. Each reel I've finished performs dramatically better.

I wanted the little needle injector version, but I didn't want to pay twice the money for half the volume. So I bought this bottle instead. I've cleaned multiple reels, and this little flip top nose is good enough. I didn't really need the fancy injector needle after all... If you need a deal and can get past the needle need, buy this one.

Have a older reel that is hard to find now since folks are always making bigger and better. However very happy with my real and looked on YouTube on how to rebuild it. The person in the video recommended this and am very pleased with the results. My old reels back to it's youthful self.

I had a problem with my penn reel. While I was surf fishing, a bird got tangle in my line and when I was getting the bird free my reel wend under water. Didn’t noticed at first. It was there for good 5 min. I thought it would be okay if I just rinse it off. But I was wrong. Next day my reel had a very gritty feel to it. Used WD 40, no help. So after I got oil, I didn’t think it would help at all. But I was shocked to see it was smooth again. Not like the brand new reel. But much better. And i use it on almost everything, that needs oiling. Love the product.
