The lamp failed after a couple of days in my 35 degree outdoor pond. I questioned the manufacturer and they stated it normally operates at 20-30 degrees Celsius. (68-86 F)

The unit I installed this in was not expensive, but appropriate for my goldfish tank. However I do require replacement bulb more often so at least I have a reasonably priced alternative.

Arrived on time and a good price. Had trouble getting the electrical prongs fully seat into filter receptical. After about an hour it finally went in. Seems to be working ok.

The first one arrived broken and was replaced without question, the second one arrived intact, I plugged it in, turned it on, it no worky, tried to unplug it, results in the picture, the glass and metal bit seperated from the plug, absolutely useless. The service from "Amazon" and "myaquastore" were impecable, just a useless product, i will buy a more expensive one and see how it goes.

My deck pond gets strong sun for a good part of the day and was very green from a previous replacement bulb that burned out within days. So far so good on this one and I can see right to the bottom of the pond now. I will be ordering more to keep on hand.

Bought this bulb to replace the one in my pond filter that had been in there for over three years. This replacement bulb lasted about one and a half months and has already failed. I would not Purchase it again.

Replaced UV bulbs in 2 Laguna Pressure Flow pond filter systems (1000 & 2000 models). Both use a 13w UVA bulb with G23 base. Works great and you would need a lengthy search to find a better price. Recommended buy.

What happens is over time the filter lets water inside the light and it doesn’t work anymore. So I keep buying lights and I don’t even know if it lasts more than a day before the water gets in.

I have had an outdoor pond for about 20 years and I change the UV filter bulb annually each Spring when I open the pond. I purchased two of these in 2023. The one I used last year did not perform and I ended up with an algae bloom. I thought is was a one off dud and put the bulb I had used the previous year in my filter and it worked fine. This Spring I installed the second new bulb and have just spent an hour replacing it (it is in an awkward place) because I have another algae bloom. Upon further inspection this is simply a light bulb and IS NOT A UV FILTER BULB. The description leads one to believe it is intended for an aquarium or pond filter, but does not really say it is UV bulb. VERY MISLEADING.
