This puller worked great for pulling the steering wheel in both my 2003 and 2004 Trailblazers. I've only used this puller for those vehicles, which don't have tapped holes in the steering wheel, they only have slots for the hooks. So I won't vouch for this puller when used with the bolts, or the bolt size/pitch selection that is included with the puller, or how well it works on other vehicles. If you were to follow the service information for removing the steering wheel in the Trailblazers, it would have you use three pieces (J-1859, J-36541-A, and J-42578). Price these out new, and you'd be in the $250 range. A little less if bought used on ebay, and that is if you could find all three. For $22 this puller did exactly what I needed it for. Shout outs to my man B-Murda for turning me on to this tool.

It's a pretty solid tool, well built but poorly designed. The 2 long hooks aren't angled enough to really grab the back of the steering wheel mount so it kept slipping off, very frustrating. They would also slide inward and I wish I had 3 hands and it would be a lot easier to use. I ended up drilling 2 holes, threading them so I could use the screw bolts and that accomplished the task but I shouldn't have had to.

I bought this to pull the steering wheel on my '14 Jeep JKU to replace the clockspring. As soon as it starts to pull hard, basically right of the bat, the 90° bent J hook just straightened out and pulled out of the hole. DOES NOT HOLD UP. It's very cheaply built. I was in the middle of this project and had to stop what I was doing and find another way to get this steering wheel pulled. I ended up finding a puller set at my local AutoZone that was OEM brand. I bought it and took it home, and the steering wheel just popped off like it should. The J hooks with this set are stout and built to do the job. Do not waste your money on this horrible product. I'm not impressed.***I included a picture is a side by side comparison of the cheap poor quality of this J hook VS. that of the set I got from AutoZone. Look at the HUGE difference.

Decent product for the price. It did take my Jeep Wrangler steering wheel off but was a little janky. For the price though it's hard to complain at all. It did the job once and would probably do it 2 or 3 times which is good for a cheaper consumer grade tool.

The puller legs' metal was too malleable and deformed twice during the steering removal process. Subsequently, I used a flamethrower to heat the metal and then immersed it in bucket of oil to increase its hardness.

The holder stick is too thick to go insaid the holes

Great piece of equipment at a great price, it took off a very stubborn steering wheel. It did exactly what it was supposed to do.
