I liked the fact that the threaded shaft and the threaded attachment were a perfect fit... NOT LOOSLY as one tool set I originally bought was whereas the threads couldn't stand the strain and stripped! This tool apparently uses a stronger steel and did the installation of the pulley perfectly even though I was using excessive pressure on the last 1/8" of install movement. Would I buy it again? Why would I? This one didn't break!

I had the same issue as everyone else where the tool loosens up from the pump as you're attempting to tighten the tool. The only way I was able to get this to work is, lube the shaft the pulley will be going onto, pack the tool bearing full of grease and then put grease on the face of the bearing on the side that faces the big nut on the tool, impact the tool into the pump and then start tightening. Continue lubing the shaft every 1/4 inch or so.

it did not fit '95 lincoln continental. i had to have a friend take me to auto parts store to get the right one (as my car was disassembled). i suppose i should have read other comments wherein other posters had the same problem. the seller listed it asl "For use on most Ford power steering pump pulleys" with no other relevant details available - now seems to be a lie. the tool's quality seems good, seller seems bad.

Even with the bearing locked up it was a good deal. I seldom will use it so I'm OK with it. It works good enough for me.

I used this tool to change my pulley on my power steering pump as one has to remove the pulley in order to replace the pump.

Both the pulley puller and installer had been used. The items were not as picture. The installer package was yellowed, used and several generations old. They should work just not new.

Perfect for a 2005 Tauras...It's the only way to do it short of removing everything on the frountof the engine. When I got it (installer)the bearing appeared to need to be packedwith grease. After doing that all you need is a screw driver to put threw the pulley so it doesn'trotate as you tighten. 15min job in all. I just busted the old pulley off with a heavy screw driver andbought a new pulley when I bought the pump ($10). Just check the thread size before you buythis. I've read it doesn't fit all pumps. You can run a 3/8-16 bolt in to check availablefrom any hardware store.

This tool was exactly as described. It threaded perfectly inside the hub on the shaft of a power steering pump for a 1993-1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee.Just oil the threads a bit before use and take your time. I would not recommend using an impact tool. Just use two wrenches. You will know when the pulleyis on all the way because the tool will bottom out safely due to the installation stud's tapered design.

I feel like this should be a $20 or less tool at your local discount tool store but cheapest I could find it was a little over 30. It works good, no issues with it. Just spray the threads with some silicone lubricant before use to prevent any damage, some pulleys can be a bit tough to press on. I'd recommend it. Last use was for a power steering pump pulley on a foxbody mustang.
