These blackout shades are actually quite nice for the price. I mounted on September 6, 2021. They block out almost all the light pouring into my bedroom. See picture showing view from outside of bedroom looking in. Notice how the bedroom is dark compared to the bright light coming into the bathroom to the right. Then see photo showing how bright my bedroom is without blackout shades.As is the trend with all blackout shades, the lateral sides don’t go all the way to the edge of the window, resulting in a tiny bit of light peaking through. But it’s seriously minimal. Coupled with blackout curtains over these blackout shades, I would have complete darkness in my room. The curtains are not necessary at all, but it’s an option.I got a pair of the WHITE 26†inch and mounted them inside window frame. Just make sure you DO NOT mount with the supplied screws. They are really bad quality because if you plan on removing hardware to readjust shades, the screws won’t want to work with the screwdriver as it will start producing magnet shavings when turning screwdriver. In the end the screws won’t unscrew. Trust me on this one, if you can use your own good quality screws please do so or don’t tighten them too hard in case you need to remove.The material in front has a nice texture and should be easy to wipe clean if needed. The back is plain white blackout paper, I suppose. I would recommend as an affordable option :) It’s counterpart, the light filtering roller shade also by Persilux that I used in my living room, instead, are absolutely stunning. I definitely love them more than the blackout shades in the bedroom. But these blackout shades look good and do the job beautifully. I’m happy with them.4.5 stars because the screws were bad quality and because one of the shades came with a very tiny rip on the back side paper so when looking at it up front, there’s a minuscule peak of sun coming in. I will cover it with white tape and should be solved, but wish I didn’t have to do that with brand new shades, you know.

These were for a bedroom and I ordered 3 of them. The quality is great, the parts are sturdy and easy installation. Love the sturdy chains pulls.

I purchased a set of these roller shades twice for two sets of windows, and they work wonderfully. I like that the shades are a bit texturized, so they feel less...sterile? in my home. I like pairing them with sheer curtains to add a bit more coziness to my space. I like that these, unlike some other shades I was considering, have a pull chain. My windows are really high, so this was essential for me.Quick tip--be very mindful when measuring. I ended up ordering an inch or two smaller than what my window actually measured to make space for the brackets. I had to return my first set because it was too big. Once I figured out the issue and ordered the smaller size, everything was perfect. I've had my first set for about seven months now, and they are holding up very well.
