Good quality ignition coil. Works well.Some concern with the 1.5 ohm coil resistance since if used with the PerTronix electronic points replacement, the old external coil resistor is not recommended to be used with this PerTronix coil (I left the external resistor on the car and just bypassed it, i.e. shorted out the resistor). I think that the 1.5 ohm primary DC resistance (about half of the old setup) is still OK with my wiring. I hope that I am not wrong.

I replaced a Mallory distributor, modified with a Pertronix II module, with a Stromberg electronic distributor. The existing 45kv, .7 ohm Pertronix coil was not compatible with the new distributor. This 40kv, 1.5 ohm Flamethrower coil was just what I needed.

This is the third coil I’ve had to purchase this year. When it gives up, it leaves me at the side of the road. As soon as it’s replaced, everything runs perfectly. They’re definitely not worth the money until they get these issues fixed.

Tuve que devolverla ya que los contactos no sirven para conectores Bosch tipo BMW o Ford de la época y no me interesaba volver a rehacer la instalación con otro tipo de conector que no fuera standard.
