I got this plate mainly to try out the "starry" pattern on the PEY side of the plate. I'm an engineer, so it is with some level of authority that I can say the transfer of the colored starry pattern onto a plain PLA print is some sort of magic. The pattern is such that the color flecks show at most any light angle. The plate itself doesn't seem quite as stiff as other plates I've got, but it adheres well to the magnetic base and the prints stick very well to both sides. In fact, I'd say my PLA prints may stick a bit better on the textured PEI side than on the Creality plate that came with my printer.Note that you can ONLY print PLA/PLA+ on the starry PEY side. This is not a deficiency with this plate, as all PEY plates seem to have this same restriction.

PETG either doesn't not stick or does not impress. The photo is my third try at printing a business card. I eventually wanted to print a card with inset letters and an impression from the hologram.First try got a partial impression. The surface partially impressed, partially lifted and rocked about.I had to stop the print half way through because the head knocked into the print.I cleaned the surface, and resliced, reduced quality and thickness and changed to concentric top and bottom.Nothing stuck after the purge line. Birds nest. Stopped it after a couple minutes. Wanted to eliminate the sliced file as the culprit.Applied glue stick and reprinted exactly the file I had just produced a birds nest with.As you can see from the photo it produced a dimensionally correct piece of plastic. The glue stick, as expected, completely blocked the holographic pattern.I'm disappointed. I mostly print petg and TPU. TPU won't do for business cards. I am going to try PLA, but I was hoping for the extra flexibility and toughness of PETG.I had to freeze the build plate to get it to separate from the card. Really made me feel like the old days. Not in a good way.

Both sides work well. No issues with adhesion if you remember to keep it clean as you would with any build plate. Have used on an Ender 3 pro for hundreds of prints. Still in use.

I tried multiple brands of pla on both sides of this plate, and nothing sticks. Plate was cleaned with dawn dish soap and dried then cleaned with ipa before use. Really wanted this to work but it didnt.

Great adhesion, perfectly smooth finish, leaves a neat holographic finish on your print. The transfered finish can be easily work off of you handle it too much, but it looks great!
