My Shih Tzu is notorious for walking past her point of no return, and I guess I am partly at fault for allowing it. Well here comes JourCraf Pet Carrier to the rescue. Undoubtedly when she goes too far and is putting up a fight to walk back or is just being a general Shih Tzu and in a mood this thing has has become the rescue. No more trying to carry her while also my phone or drinks or whatever. Now I am able to put her into this bag and keep my hands free. It is a tad awkward to put on and adjust to a comfortable fit but any inconvenience that causes is far outweighed by the ability to keeps my hands free, use my whole body to burden the weight and keep her more comfortable too while taking the long walk back home. She is right at the limit I think of fitting but this carrier is priceless to me. So far all the stitching and pockets etc a good quality, same with the big pocket cushion. It feels like it should last for a long time. Reccommended.

This feels comfortable to wear, and is easier on the back and shoulders than the sling style pet carrier I have. I like that there is a firm bottom for the pet to rest on, however, the bottom is not strong enough and bows under the weight of my 10-pound mini Doxie. I haven’t been able to try it out for an extended walk, due to it being too cold to go for walks, and the few walks we have taken, she showed no signs of slowing down or needing a lift. I tossed 32 oz thermos and water bowls in there, along with the sling carrier, for our 1 ½ mile walks. One walk, I wore it on my front and the 2nd walk on my back. It was equally comfortable to wear in either position, granted with virtually no weight since the dog didn’t actually hitch a ride. I do feel self-conscious wearing it. The quilted pattern and extra “I-don’t-know-what-it’s-for†flap on the front make me feel like a little kid taking my teddy bear to school. I think next dog carrier backpack I get I’ll look for something sturdier in a darker color, design and fabric that looks more appropriate for an adult to be seen in public with. I’m sure I’ll be back to update my review once I get to actually use it with a living moving dog in it. Right now, she just wants to squirm and try to jump out and I can’t keep her in it long enough for a real test run. I’m afraid to let go of her while in the bag. The safety strap is not length adjustable, and it doesn’t stop her from jumping and squirming her way out and I don’t want to risk a fall.

This is a nice little carrier. I really like the removable insert in the bottom and the ability to unsnap the ends. The only issue we had was the smell! I've never had this happen to me where something was so strong you couldn't bear to put your nose to it!! It took several days, maybe a full week for this to air out enough where I felt comfortable using it. We could've washed it, but I didn't want to run it, so I opted not to. I took a star off for the intense outdoor as I feel the dry shouldn't happen. I definitely don't want something against me or my pet with outdoors like that. It was almost like an ammonia type sent full. Just very strong and sharp. Hard to explain. If it came odor free, I'd recommend this item.

I have an eight pound chihuahua that loves to ride in the golf cart. He is completely wild and I have tried several methods to keep him safe but he is only “happy†when I am holding him. This allows me to hold him securely without having to worry about him jumping out of my arms. It’s a good size and I can get him down in it well. It has a secure hook that attaches to his harness so he cannot jump out. Plus it’s pretty comfortable so I don’t mind wearing it.I have tried a couple of different options and this is the best so far. So I like it and recommend it.

I was hoping this would be a more comfortable way to ... well... wear my cat. We've tried a few different bags and such, and this looked super promising as being more comfortable for me but I was soooo wrong. It's adjustable to a certain degree, but not in ways that actually made it more comfortable to wear. Add to that the stiffness of the sides and bottom seem like they'd be a good feature- but the sides are too stiff to be comfortable or really have enough ... give or sag to comfortably wear, and the stiffness of the bottom isn't solid enough for a cat or dog to really be comfortable either. I would say this might be good for a teacup yorkie sized dog- but in that case, the rest of it would be really too big I'd think..There's also very little real padding in the bag, which again- keeps it from being a reliably comfortable place for your pet.

I have a cat that demands to be held like a baby constantly. He will sit there crying, or try to climb up your leg if you don't hold him. Sometimes, like when cooking, I just don't have enough hands for both.I thought something like this would allow me to do stuff while pacifying the cat.Wrong.Pros:•If you have really tiny animals, like a newborn kitten or puppy, or you have an animal that stays little, like a bunny or something, this bag would probably be ok. In fact, this bag would've been PERFECT for me when I first rescued my cats when they were newborn kittens.•It looks pretty nice. I mean, it's not hideous.•The material feels water resistantCons:•It's just too bulky to wear while trying to do other stuff.•if you're trying to use this with an adult sized cat, you'll need someone to help you get the cat in the bag.•one of the snaps on the side pocket broke the first time i tried to unsnap it.Conclusion: If you have a small animal that you need to carry around, and you don't really need to use your arms for much during that time, I think this bag would be ok for you. After I sat it down, the cats did really like jumping in and out of the bag 😄

It is the perfect size, color, and quality. I can safely carry my mini dachshund around areas she cannot walk. My only suggestion is that a safety strap to attach a collar is needed to ensure full and total safety.
