HELPFUL TIPS:
- Please make sure you have a real Catit branded fountain. A lot of fountains can look like the Catit fountains, but are not and need different filters
- Check if you have installed the Filter on the fountain Tray properly, make sure to refill the water to the maximum level.
- To maintain the filtering effect, it's recommended to replace the filters every 1 to 2 weeks in summer and 2 to 4 weeks in winter.

I have two older water fountains for cats, and have had trouble finding the right type of filters. This one is exactly what I needed, they are very high quality, they last longer and are compatible with the two water fountains. They keep the water clean, and are easy to use. I'm just so happy I found something that's compatible with my old fountains. Saves me from having to buy new ones!

Much better than others I have tried. They fit down in the cat it fountain better than other brands.One other brand I used smelled like sewer.

We have 2 cats, and oldie and a young 2-yr old - they both love the Catit Flower Fountain. We wash it and change the filter weekly and both of them sit there watching and waiting then drink as soon as we turn it on.Our young cat has flipped it over a couple times so we put it inside a heavy flower pot so she cannot tip it over and she has tried! The unit is NOT tipsy and the older cat doesn't bother, it's just her youthful exuberance and persistence that allows her to finally tip it.We really like not having to worry about the cats not having fresh water to drink, we live in the desert so bowls of water can dry up quickly if you forget to re-fill on a daily basis before leaving the house. This unit goes days between refills (longer it you don't live in a desert), it makes a noticeable humming sound when the water level gets low so you'll be aware when you need to add water, otherwise you don't hear more than a minor hum and sometimes trickling water.The pump seems to be very robust, we were out of the house when the cat tipped the unit over so the pump was running without any water - we thought it was ruined but no! It started pumping normally as soon as we righted things and added water.The filter has a water softener in it which makes things feel slimy but our city water is very hard so it's probably just that we're so used to hard water but I wonder if the amount of water softener beeds can be reduced. Note: soft water can feel slimy to people who are used to hard water - this is normal, the softer it is the slimier it feels to us.Summary: We bought out unit in Feb-2018 so it's 10 months old now. This is a very nice unit, we give it two thumbs up!

Well I thought they were good, now I am not so sure. The first few that I used, well they seemed fine, but I went to routine deep clean the fountain and change the filter and there was this weird orange color and some black slime. I thought maybe it was saliva but no I don’t believe it is. It was a clump of jelly like ooze. I began removing the cotton so I could inspect, I can’t describe it as anything other than the filter packs that hold the charcoal and resin were decomposing. I am not sure what is listed as “resin†actually is. I don’t know it was more like silica and the orange color was something coming off of the little beads.So I don’t know, I wouldn’t risk buying them. It could be nothing but not worth the heartache. I was wondering why the dogs and cats were snubbing this one fountain. it is too late to actually return it or get a refund, but I don’t want anyone else to buy it if there is something toxic in it so that is why I am posting this review now.I am canceling Prime, we shouldn’t have to research our lives away to make a purchase and Amazon makes enough money to assure fair quality of products. I feel like I have been paying more money for stuff I could find at Family Dollar or eBay. This time it is different because these are my pets not my shoes or a hoodie.If the other reviews that are similar to my own experience had been viewable when I was making the purchase, I wouldn’t have bought them. Which makes me wonder about Amazon’s standards of practice, something shady about it.Like, I am so very disgusted and disappointed that yet again my money has been swindled away. This is the last straw, these are peoples pets, fur babies. I am going to get this stuff tested. I am canceling Prime and reducing my shopping on Amazon. Gosh this is terrible.
