This comb is amazing. My cat loves being combed with it and for a short-haired cat, the amount of fur that is removed has greatly reduced hairballs. When I am not combing her, I find that she is combing her chin on the comb. The grip is very comfortable to hold. And the quality of the material with which it is made is very sturdy.

Okay, though the title was a bit much, this brush worked wonders on the family's Maine Coon cat. This thing was bring up fur left and right. We were previously using one of the basic brushes you would get at any major retail store, and though they worked somewhat, after every brushing session you could always see extra fur just wanting to be brushed out. What I will say is, take your time. This isn't like your own hair where you take the brush and just go at it. Though these are specifically made to not hurt the animals, my cat will just run up to me and shove his face into the brush. Just be careful. One side has more tines than the other, so if you can if a bit fluffier like mine, use the side that has less tines on it so you have wider spots open for the fur to flow through. His coat hasn't looked better and I'm really happy with this find. Very hard to find these at the major retail stores near me, so when I saw this on Vine, I had to take a look. I do recommend!

Got this brush as I have both cats and dogs - and lots of fur on the floor. After seeing the brush in person, decided it was best for my retriever as my cats are short haired without much undercoat.I don't think I would use this for routine brushing, as it does tug at the skin more then my usual brush.Spring Molting Season is coming up - so I used it today to see if would make a dent in the floof that will be on the carpet soon.It worked great.Focusing on the thickest areas of the coat, it removed handfuls of fur that my regular (slicker type) brush did not. The handfuls that came off the ruff and hocks was impressive, and did not seem to bother the pup.Did try it on the shorter/sleeker fur on the body, but did not get much fur and the pup got antsy - so suspect the extra tugging was uncomfortable.A definite keeper, to be used when needed.

If your dog or cat has an undercoat, this removes an insane amount of hair. Our cat sheds quite a bit and after brushing with her regular brush, tried this one... I have never seen so much hair come off at once. The teeth of the comb are smooth and I have no concerns about nicking the skin. If the hair is thick enough for the comb to get stuck, rotating it so you pull straight up helps to minimize pulling. I am very impressed by how effective and well tolerated it is by my pets.

It didn’t work on my cats (shorthair through long hair) and it seemed to pull on the long haired cat and he doesn’t have any matting issues. It pulled out a little hair here and there but not enough to de-shed

This shedder has a strong handle that's all one piece, so it won't fall apart the way my old brush did. It's easy to grip and the teeth really grab into the thatch of the coat, even if it's muddy and matted (because the dog decided to roll in the clay). Great for really getting the loose fur out during spring when the long-hair dogs blow their undercoat at the same time as spring rains make the yard into soup. Most brushes won't hold up to the job, but this one is doing great at tackling my livestock guardian dogs' heavy winter coats and the clay, briars and hay they've picked up in the pasture.

My sweet little cat who is super soft and gentle… she wasn’t sure whether she liked it… but it sure removed a lot of the undercoat. She likes it for a while, then gets cranky and I can’t tell if that’s due to just getting tired of it or it hurting at all. I don’t think it hurts, she will start out rolling around as I brush her, and clearly likes it. But then she suddenly gets cranky. I think maybe now and then it tugs on the fur and she’s a one-strike kind of cat. Sweet until you tick her off…I’m still trying to get my partially-domesticated monster boy cat to sit still and allow me to brush him. It has worked so well on the girls, I will keep after him and update review if it doesn’t work.
