I purchased an expensive Philips Latte Go latte maker, and I want it to last as long as possible with few or no problems. Scale buildup in the unit can be a problem. This filter greatly reduces the risk of damaging scale buildup.

I purchased this filter after reading reviews. It works fine, as far as I can guess, but... I'm using a filtered reverse osmosis water and it's clean by definition, so this filter is rather worthless than helpful. Anyway, it won't heart to keep it inside the machine and protect it from possible contamination and deposits.
