Got this as present for Christmas, but had to order co2 cartridges and wait few more days before we were able to use it. Love it! Great quality and it looks great in the kitchen. Everybody in the family making their own sparkling drinks now and everybody loves it!

However, it’s important to note that the required CO2 canister is not included, which adds to the initial investment.Specifications: • Brand: Philips • Material: Stainless Steel • Capacity: 1L bottle included • Dimensions: 9.4â€D x 7.8â€W x 18.6â€H • Power Source: Manual (no electricity required) • CO2 Canister: Not included; compatible with standard 60L screw-in carbonatorsKey Points: • Sleek & Compact Design – The stainless steel finish provides a modern look, and its compact size fits well on most countertops. • Manual Operation – No electricity is needed; simply press the button to carbonate your water. • Customizable Carbonation – Control the level of fizz by pressing the button multiple times to achieve your preferred carbonation level. • CO2 Canister Not Included – You’ll need to purchase a compatible 60L screw-in CO2 canister separately. • Philips CO2 Cylinder: Approximately $64.99 for a two-pack. • Third-Party Options: Available for around $41.97 for a single canister. • Yield per Canister – Each 60L CO2 canister can carbonate up to 60 liters of water, equating to about 60 one-liter bottles. This can replace approximately 120 single-use plastic bottles, promoting environmental sustainability.Final Thoughts:The Philips Sparkling Water Maker is an affordable and eco-friendly option for those looking to enjoy homemade sparkling water. While the initial purchase doesn’t include a CO2 canister, compatible options are readily available. Considering the long-term savings and environmental benefits, this soda maker is a worthwhile investment for sparkling water enthusiasts. I do have some concerns about the machine’s durability and all the plastic components. So far so good though.

It’s a Phillips brand so you at least know that you’re getting some kind of American quality instead of some Chinese junk so it’s got that going for it. It works identical to a soda stream. You can even use their syrups if you want to make actual soda and not just sparkling water. You can also use bubbly drops or other kind of more diet based flavor additives instead of just drinking plain water. Be aware that if you’re not a huge sparkling water club soda drinker that CO2 does have a slight aftertaste to it, especially when there’s no flavor additive to compensate, this is normal. Believe it or not CO2 has a taste. After you get used to it people say they love it so I don’t know, whatever. I personally like to add some flavoring. You can do this naturally with things like lemon or lime juice, either fresh squeezed or from one of the kind of Real Lime bottles. It does not include the CO2 cartridges, but it does use the larger size that can carbonate about 160 these bottles theoretically. I’ve seen two packs of filled canisters on Amazon for as low as $30 and once you have the them, Target and Walmart have exchange programs where you can get them refilled essentially for cheap like $10 $14 something like that.Pretty basic technology here, it injects CO2 gas from the canister through a simple nozzle and directly into the base of the water and is able to carbonate that water very quickly. You just hold the mechanical button down three times for about three seconds each time. You can carbonate more than just water with this so feel free to have some fun but be aware that it’s gonna make things really dirty and you’re gonna need to clean it immediately with some fresh clean water. It will likely void your warranty, but why not a sparkling chilled Pinot Noir? Haha, good luck!Solid device, solid price. Get the black one, the white looks cheap.

This thing is amazing and has saved our family literally hundreds of dollars already from having to buy store soda. On top of that this tends to taste better too as you can adjust how much sugar and more importantly what kind of sugar you want. Heck we've even used honey to sweeten sodas before and it works pretty good, but too much can overpower the flavor profile. You get quite a few charges from one CO2 bottle too, we've been making soda for weeks now and haven't had to change it but one time so far. The quick twist bottle is solid too and feels very sturdy and rigid which is great for the small amount of pressure it needs to withstand. Another great thing about this soda fountain is that it requires no electricity, just put a bottle into the machine, add your soda and your good to go. Overall this has been a great investment for my family and have found that we actually prefer to make our own sodas at home, and given the price of soda recently you should definitely get yourself one too.

We've been using this for over a month now and it works great. Very easy to use, just attach the bottle and press the big button down three times and you get some really good carbonated water. Compared to some of the other carbonators this seems to be a pretty good value. Its a little on the large size, well not very wide or deep but pretty tall, it would be nice to be able to use it on the counters under a cabinet. I've had no problem with gas or water leaks. My only complaint and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 would be the the included bottle is NOT DISHWASHER SAFE. My kids chores sometimes include doing the dishes and one of them forgot and put the bottle in the dishwasher. It completely melted and came out bent in half.
