I have to preface this review with the fact that I was specifically looking for a picnic basket that was just the right size to be able to be attached to the back of my "new" circa early 1970's Raleigh Sprite bicycle that my husband found and reconditioned for me. I wanted something that would complement the look of the bike, not be too heavy, fit on the luggage rack at the back of the bike, and yet still be spacious inside. This was not an easy find. After searching for days on Amazon (and my husband having done his own searching, ordering and then returning of other options), I came across this one. It is perfection! Everything that I needed it to be, it is.As for what most people would like to know about, I can say that this is a well-built picnic basket. It is solid, nicely crafted, and the lining and other appointments are just right and well done. It comes with two small wine glasses (actual glass), a tablecloth, two napkins, a plastic Tupperware style container, a small cutting board, cheese knife, and a waiter's style corkscrew. In order to reduce weight and increase carrying capacity, I have removed all of these, other than the corkscrew (as it could come in handy for more than just a picnic). All of these things are useful and nice and will get used, if and when my husband and I take a romantic bike ride for some wine and cheese.I confirmed that the picnic basket will hold one or two standard size wine bottles, though that will take up most of the space. They don't fit straight across, and with having to put them on an angle, they take up extra space. That is probably the only negative. I would have been okay with an extra 1/2" to 1" of width in order to be able to fit the wine bottle straight across and more efficiently use the inside space. As this is sold as a wine and cheese picnic basket, I am surprised that they didn't think about this and make it just a hair larger to accommodate that. But, as I will only rarely be using it for carrying of actual wine bottles (and my Corksicle water bottle fits perfectly inside of it), I'm not docking any stars for that one minor issue.Overall, this is a really great picnic basket. If you are in the market for one that is of these particular general dimensions and style, I highly recommend that you give this one a try. I am super happy that I did.

I purchased this basket as a gift for my nephew & his fiance. They really loved it. It's not so big that you couldn't carry it comfortably, and it's not so small that nothing fits in it. It is very attractive, well made, and all of the items that come with it (napkins, utensils, etc.) are very nice. This makes a great gift for the picnickers in your family.

We bought this basket as a wedding gift for some friends who love to picnic. We were overjoyed when it arrived, as the look and quality of this basket exceeded our expectations. It looks expensive and is very well made. Perfect size for our friends to take along in their car as they set off for their honeymoon. We filled it with a bottle of champagne, cheese, crackers, olives, and smoked salmon. We liked it so much, we are considering buying one for ourselves. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a great picnic basket or gift item.

I purchased this with a friend as a Christmas gift for another friend. To be perfectly honest, when the item arrived I found myself disappointed in the size. It was much smaller than I originally anticipated. On the other hand, I don't recall paying much attention to the diminsions when I purchased it. Therefore, I am completely at fault for my own disappointment. The basket does, however, appear to be sturdy and very well made. The wine glasses are smaller than normal, and the napkins and table cloth appear to be somewhat cheaply made, hence the four star review instead of five. However, the hardware works properly, and the locking mechanism resembles that of those old wicker-type purses that women used to carry. It is truly an adorable basket. We were able to add a bottle of wine, three gourmet cheeses held in place by a bag of chocolates spread around, and a large bow. We presented the gift with the basket open to showcase the arrangement inside. It turned out quite beautiful.

One of the wine glassrs was broken and i couldnt return in time as it is for a fundraiser and i just took them out.
