Pretreatment Processing Steps
In order to ensure a better sinking effect of the fish tank driftwood decoration, it is best to pre-treat the driftwood before putting them into the water.
You can do the following.
- Soak them for 3-4 hours, recommended 4 times. (You can add soda or salt in water.)
- Rinse them with clean water.
- Put them into the fish tank.
It's nomal that the color of the wood will get darkened as them will release tannins.
After the pretreatment, you will not get brown water.

Great! I loved the sizes. Pretty dark coloration. I love the small holes for fish to hide. I did boil them 3-4 hrs and let sit in water for 3 days. Tank is still a bit brownish… I’m assuming it’ll fade.I was skeptical due to some reviews- but worth the money. Didn’t arrive in pieces, was well wrapped.

Cheap and exactly what is shown. they are a great size and i can change out whenever since there's 6. much better than other amazon wood for tanks, but definitely wash it first

I was hoping for more structure or and some varying sizes. I know they gave a range but these are all flat and at the smallest end of the range they offer.Probably will get a refund.UPDATE AND WARNING:Decided to try it out, maybe use it as a mount for a miniature orchid, within a day and a half it started to mold. Also used it to make another piece of wood more sturdy in my dart frog vivarium and as a textural ground piece for the frogs to explore. After noticing the one with the orchid molding badly I checked the two I placed in the dart frog vivarium, sure enough, they started to mold too.Getting a refund.

Good product for my project, met my expectations and looks absolutely stunning. I do recommend soaking it for 3-4 weeks to get all those excess tannins out of the wood if you aren't looking for a blackwater look. Excellent product.
