QUICK AND EASY PIPE CENTER LOCATION: NO MORE WASTEED EFFORTS
STEP 1:
Place the Magnetic Centering Head on the pipe. Magnets in the legs make it hands free.
STEP 2:
Set the dial to the desired degree. The green indicator must be level when the dial is set and positioned in the center of the green indicator.
STEP 3:
The center punch can be adjusted. Hit the center punch down to locate your set position.
STEP 4:
Tapping the safety head on the center punch with a hammer to mark your set position.

Bought one, within a week both magnets and the bubble fell off. Got a new one, and the same thing happened with the new one, superglued them back in, now the bubble is leaking.

This product works well but the level did fall out of it after I hit it. I was able to super glue the level back in. For my use ( not every day) it works well.

First, there are several of these on Amazon: listed by different sellers but all likely made at the same Chinese factory.The machined aluminum block is nice. No share edges--nice anodizing.The gauge is nicely done too. The bubble level looks a bit cheap. When I compared it against a known good level (Stabila), I noted that my pipe center was about 0.5 degrees out of level. I would recommend checking yours to ensure it is 1 degree or less out of level. That equates to about 1/16" of center mismarking error for a 6" diameter pipe. That's really accurate enough...

Poorly made, magnets fell out during shipping and will have to glue covers down.
