I really like this tool for its intended purpose. However the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it would have been nice if the bore post were pined so that they don't rotate while tightening the thumb screws.I modified mine with pins and I love how easy it is to adjust now!

Many people criticize this product saying that you can just use a piston to position your ring to check ring gap. However, this product actually allows you to get a feeler gage in to check the piston ring gap so you can verify that the ring is parallel to the block deck and has the right gap. For the pice, it’s a must have and saved me a lot of time!
