I got this so that I could use some existing flashes (originally purchased for use with a Canon) with my Sony. It works as expected.

I’m using this with my Sony ZV-E10 mark II which is in a Smallrig cage. The Smallrig won’t allow my Canon 270EX flash to mount alone but given the added height from the mount, the canon flash attaches securely. It works only at 1/30 sec sync speed which is good for indoor photos as it balances nicely with the ambient light. All said it’s a good adapter if you have a Canon flash laying around and especially since Sony doesn’t make a small flash for their vlog or A6600/A6700 series cameras.

Easy and forward to use. Be sure it is making good contact with the hot shoe or it will not fire the flash!

So, I have some old Dynalite studio strobes which I still use from time to time. I tried to use my new Sony A7IV with them, but discovered there is NO PC Sync connector on the camera! So I tried a few of these hot shoe adapters and most of them did not work at all, including this Pixel version. Finally I had success with the Wein Safe-Sync Hot Shoe to Hot Shoe with PC. adapter. That worked great on my Sony A7IV and I was able to successfully hook up a PC Sync cord to that hot shoe sync adapter and use my studio strobes (Dynalite) just like the old days. The "Wein Safe-Sync Hot Shoe to Hot Shoe with PC" is also available on Amazon.

Even with all the electrical connections in this adaptor, there was no connection from the flash to the camera except for thecenter Hot shoe connection. If I just installed my Nikon flash directly on the camera it gave me the same results. Both hotshoe adaptors I bought were the same. Must be a manufactures defect.Returned Items.

I bought this flash shoe adapter so that I could trigger and use a manual style macro flash on my Sony a6500. The a6500 has Sony's newer MIS flash shoe, and the macro flash unit has the old, center pin, manual flash foot. So far, all I've done is put batteries in the flash unit, attach the Pixel TF-334 Hot Shoe Converter to the a6500 and mount the flash unit to the Pixel converter. I then powered up the camera, powered up the flash, and put the camera in manual mode. I set the camera and flash settings that I guessed would be right and took a few test shots. The camera and manual flash unit worked perfectly, together. So, this Pixel Hot Shoe Converter did exactly what I bought it for. It appears to be a quality product and I'm happy with the purchase. Added bonus, it wasn't expensive, either.

I'm never sure what to expect with these third party gadgets. I've been burned before. But I really wanted my Canon macro flashes to work with my Sony camera, and they didn't work when directly mounted to the camera. Enter this pixel device. No fussing at all required -- I just mounted the pixel adapter to my hotshoe and mounted my flash on the pixel adapter and I get a flash 100% of the time I click the shutter. By the way, it does trigger the flashes when the flashes are in ETTL mode, but I think it is actually just doing a 100% flash each time in ETTL mode. So I always use manual, but if I want to turn the flashes up to 100% without changing my manual setting I just flip the flashes to ETTL mode and boom -- on the next shutter click I get a 100% pop. Then I switch them back to manual mode and I have my manual settings waiting for me where I left them. 100% recommended if you have Canon macro flashes and want to use them with a modern Sony body.

I distrust any plastic ring tightener because I’ve had stuff fall off on shoots, so I really wish this had a lever clamp like good flashes do. But this fit very tightly into my a7iv so the ring was some extra tightness. My 580exII work only in manual of course and looks ridiculous on the small Sony body but this will due until I buy a good Sony flash. The sync cable recommended didn’t work, one end was too small, idk if it was the cable or this connector.

J'aime bien l'adapteur par contre très domage malgré que c'était mentionné qu'il n'y est pas de TTL et ne déclenche pas rapidement malgré cela, il fait très bien la job qu'il doit faire.
