Installed on a 4 string Sterling StingRay bass. Only one pickup way down by the bridge. I had nowhere to rest my thumb, but NOW I do. Easy installation but as others have said "measure twice". You can't undrill holes. So happy with this purchase!

Works perfectly fine. The toughest part is just making sure to position it in the desired spot before drilling the holes.

I was a little disappointed with the Quality of the finish of the thumb rest. For the price I expected a little better finish. In the photos you can see the scratches covering the finish. Also, in the 3rd photo, you can see where they had broke it off the frame (like in models where you would break off the next part from the holding frame from the mold). When they scraped off the flashing from the holding frame they got a little deep with their pocket knife. I’ll buff it out, and orientate the rest so that the nick is facing down. Oh well…. I just expected better…
